Cynthia, Young was very knowledgeable about the history of one of the first states in our nation. Really intriguing and interesting stories. Williamsburg, VA has been through many wars, including the Civil War and Revolutionary War. There are many buildings built in the 16th Century that endured fires, bullet holes, but stood the test of time. A very fun and exciting tour, plus an education about our Country's history.

Great COLD night to learn historical facts/stories passed down from generation to generation and be a little spooked! Nate was our tour guide and did a GREAT job! Fun for the whole family! This is a must to do!

A group of us went on the haunted tour! We had a great time and the story telling was very good!!

This was something we done in the past in another city. We decided to give this one a try. The tour did give some history along with some tragedies that have some ghost stories. A lot of walking so be prepared on the comfortable shoes. No bathrooms along the route until you double back so be thoughtful of that This was a one and done for me but to each their own.

I'm writing this more for the fact it currently has a 1 star which is unjustified in my opinion. Our B&B folks purchased the tickets as part of a package. The system is set up to call and make reservations. Unfortunately there is no live person, you leave info on a recording. This was the regular ghost tour, not the extreme as mentioned in other review. We met in front of the W&M bookstore around dusk. There were probably around 20, or so in the group. We first went on W&M campus and stories were told based on books by a local historian LB Taylor. The guide was excellent with the telling of the stories, she knew her script. We moved into Colonial Williamsburg and hit a few houses. Keep in mind with this tour you do not in any homes unlike the official CW tour. Our guide was great about keeping us all together and attempted to keep us engage. I found the stories interesting, the exercise was nice as well as the sight seeing at night which is a different perspective. Total tour time 1:45. I did not find any of it scary if that is what your going for everyone has a different level. I admit my tolerance is mid/high. I would recommend this company.

The tour is fun. Our guide was friendly, and knowledgeable about the town and it's history. It's a night of fun ghost stories, but you do not get to enter any of the haunted buildings.

Lots of history lessons in there, because you are in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg that is all about history.

We only waited about 15 minutes. But the view of the water made the wait enjoyable. The atmosphere was appropriate for a casual place. Lots of dark wood, a bar, booths and, I assume, faux copper ceiling tiles. We were seated in a high table near the window with a view of York River. Our server was great! She helped me make a choice of beer. The double IPA was citrusy which I like. I was torn between the fish tacos, a loaded baked potato with "famous" chili, or grilled crab sandwich. She said beyond a doubt get the tacos. She was so right! I love fish tacos. The Booming Tacos, an off-the-menu item, was over the top. I mean there was so much rockfish it was over the top of the grilled flour tortilla. The moist blackened fish pieces laid atop spring mix and drizzled with a creamy spicy boom boom sauce. My husband had the Rachel, a turkey sandwich on rye with Russian dressing and coleslaw, it came with french fries that seemed to have a bit of a coating that made them very crunchy. Everything was great. If ever back in the area, this will be the place to eat.

Had to add salt and pepper to taste anything and then just didn't even eat 1/2. Paid an extra $1 for cheese and onions on top. I'm talking bye 7 little cheese pieces and the same with tiny onions. Their clam chowder was salty. And other than the fried seafood, it wasn't worth the cost. Need to remind ourselves this is tourist trap with bumped up prices for quickly made (and not properly seasoned) food. Major disappointment and a waste of $30 for a sandwich, fries and a cup of chili

Whether it's with friends or just the two of us, we've never been disappointed. Let's see how this visit went. We were immediately seated once we walked inside. It wasn't completely packed for a Saturday afternoon but staff was really busy with customers. The vibe was one that made us comfortable for the most part. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, we were ready to order. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full. Good stuff as always from Park Lane Tavern :)

We decided to hop over here to catch specials for St. Patrick's Day and they also had karaoke going on. Would this first visir hold potential for yours truly? Our group was able to snag a table right across the bar with no issues. For the whole night, foot traffic wasn't heavy. For the pub itself, it is a bit dated, but nothing where major updates are needed. They also have a separate section for billards and you can also smoke while enjoying company. All of us did order food while some sang karaoke (I didn't participate). For myself, I selected a fried petals basket which came with their house sauce. It was good enough for me since I ate earlier. The food was very good. Each fried onion was very crispy and their house sauce was a great compliment. I also decided to have one of their house drinks. The fruit bomb which consisted of Three Olives Loopy vodka and Red Bull. The drink was very good. Not too strong and just right. And for you diabetics out there like myself, the vodka is sugar free. The Red Bull does add sweetness to the drink, but your carb intake will be just fine. For a first timer, it was a good experience. A nice staff with some good food and spirts on hand. I'll definitely make a return here soon :)
