This food is the reason I never quit my job. Seriously. I walk into Buscemi's and immediately feel welcomed. Not only is everyone behind the counter super friendly but the food is amazing and at a very competitive price. There is nowhere nearby that makes to-go food, that delicious, at that price. As I kept going there the guys working remembered me, always asked how I've been, and told me i gotta try this, i gotta try that. and i did, it was all delicious. A few things: - the sandwiches are wrapped ready to go but made fresh, specifically the spicy Italian was amazing every time - they'll cook up ciabattas like its nobody's business theyre amazing. get one, get two, maybe get twenty. - Corned beef was good, it wasn't to-go and it only took a few minutes - don't get me started on the fish. they do it every friday and they do it right. Hand breaded, golden fried, huge pieces super cheap. - they have a strangely large collection of by the slice pizzas, the Detroit style hit like 2012 Cabrera. The rolls i never got, actually there was alot i still never tried, but it all looked delicious. so many options. I tell everyone I know in the metro Detroit area, ya gotta try the Mound Rd. This place has the vibe of an alleyway. Every visit brings a sense of hostility, and you feel like you might kill a small animal if you step wrong. Not to mention, 10 bucks is a little wild for a 2 liter and 2 bottles of coke. The price you pay is always different from the price he tells you. This place is hilarious. I go in there, looking like a tourist, because I am a tourist, and the wise guy behind the counter helps me out. "Steak and cheese? You don't want that, here's a steak and cheese roll. Hot out of the oven, just popped out before you came in. You see, everything we do here is made fresh. Just like Mama used to make it, you know? All those other guys, they get their stuff frozen out of the back of a truck and put it in the oven and pretend you can't tell the difference. Here, you like sausage? This sausage is gonna change your life. 99.7% fat free. You like that?" Amid all the boasting, and settingme up with a free sample, we ended up holding up the line a bit, and a regular was up next. The wise guy starts telling him "I don't wanna hear nothing from you, so don't say nothing. I'm telling you." Anyway, I get the steak and cheese roll, look up "Original Buscemi's" and I see like 50 of these places pop up on the map. So maybe they get their stuff out of the back of a truck like everybody else and I can't tell the difference. Either way, I was back two days later for a sausage roll. I order food from here delivery & this store decides to start the order after the driver gets there turning the deliver into over a hour getting a cold pizza. Top it off they have the driver a attitude while waiting patiently that he left of course!!! Horrible service!!!! read more

Used to be my favorite place to go before the Trump sign went up. My whole family is sad That we can no longer patronize this business that we've been going to since I was a kid. This past weekend, we had a party for my husband's 40th birthday. We expected about 70 people. I'm not really into cooking, and didn't want to grill food all day. So, we decided to do subs, salad, and other dishes that didn't require a lot of work. I called around to a few places that could do party subs & salads. Buscemi's was by far the best deal. They have a good reputation, so I had good faith that we would be pleased. I called a couple of their locations to see what they could do for us. This particular location was the only place that offered a great deal, even though there is one closer to our house. We stopped in to talk to the owner, Gary and put down a deposit. Gary was very gracious and explained in detail what he was going to do for us. Buscemi's has a party deal for $89.99 which offers 1-6ft Italian sub, 1-24 pc pizza, a large Antipasto salad, bag of chips, and a 2 liter bottle of soda. We also ordered a 2nd 6ft sub (turkey/cheese). For an additional $10, Gary said he would give us the most amazing Antipasto salad. We went for it. When we picked up the food, it was everything we imagined & more! The Antipasto salad weighed 10 lbs....no joke. It was loaded and very fresh! Gary's wife was still putting the Italian sub & pizza together when we arrived because they wanted it to be as fresh as possible. We planned to put the pizza in the fridge and serve late that night. Needless to say, the food was a big hit. I was worried that maybe 2-6ft subs would be too much. It was probably the one thing that was devoured. Many guests commented on how good it was & couldn't believe the size of them! The salad was also a hit, but there was so much, we still had plenty left over. As planned, we pulled the pizza out later. It was a perfect end to the evening and everyone enjoyed it. Gary & his wife take a lot of pride in their work and are eager to please their customers. We are so happy we drove a little out of our way to get our party food from them. We will definitely continue to order from them in the future for any other events! read more

I always see the commercials for this place, but I am never in this area but today I was and just had to try it. As far as the party store itself it's clean and nice but everything is higher in price compare to what you find at other party stores. As for the pizza itself: amazing. I had a New York style meat pizza slice, which was as big as the pizza box but oh so very good. I'm willing to say out of all the jumbo slices I have ever had, this is the best and it's not even close. The seasoning and the style of bacon jumps out to me when it comes to this slice. I also had a slice of deep dish pepperoni pizza. It was good (not as great as the jumbo slice, but still very good), kind of like a garlic bread made with pizza toppings on a higher scale. Overall i will come here again for pizza, but as for everything else in the store, I will go to a better but cheaper place. read more

Called to place an order and the person who answered the phone was very rude and had an attitude. I was quizzed on if I had ordered there before, do you know where you're calling and where I lived "because some people call and then don't show up." When I explained that I lived close but that shouldn't matter because I was calling to place an order and was going to show up he reluctantly asked what I wanted. When I said my order I had to correct him 4 times for a 2 topping pizza because he kept messing it up. I then attempted to order cheese sticks and was told "I don't have those it's Sunday I just have pizza." I will be taking my business to another location. read more

The breadsticks were good 4/10. The pizza was very light weighted the sauce was too sweet. The pizza was to fluffy, raw.

I grew up on these slices for forty years! Now in California I crave it like mad and look forward to a trip back to Sterling Heights so I can bite into that corner slice once again. I grew up eating corner liquor store pizza. You can't beat the quality of this brand of food.

I recently moved to the area and can't seem to find any good go-to pizza places in the Warren area. I used to go enjoy a place called Famous pizza but they recently went out of business... Aside from that, every pizza place in the area seemed to not be good, at all! So for awhile, I'd just settle for Jets, and we had that in my old town, I'm so sick of Jets... I've tried a lot of good pizza in the area, some in Dearborn, Novi, and even in Brighton. But as for Warren, I've tried probably 10 different pizza places in the area and I wasn't a fan of any of them... Until I checked out The Original Buscemi's. I actually went over to the location on 15 and mound in Sterling Heights, although there's a closer location to my home in Warren... I tried a variety of their food and I enjoyed it all. I really like a pizza place attached to a party store, often they typically have good pizza. Nothing fancy, just fresh products and Gary, the manager of 15/mound really cares about his customers experience. He knows they have good food and he's gonna keep it that way. Having a party? Order a 6 foot sub or ask to try Gary's famous Italian Sausage. Not just a pizza shoppe but a meat market as well. =-) I'd give this 4 1/2 stars if I could, but its definitely not the best pizza I ever had, however, it's probably within the top 10 best. read more

Mound and 15 mile location. A great deal! The food was fresh and good! Gary is the manager, make sure you ask for him. This man has amazing customer relation skills. He wants you to be 100% satisfied. It is very clear he takes great pride in his business and he wants to have you as a regular customer. This guy has it figured out! I know if I want quality and affordability for catering, this is the place. So about the food....get the chicken tenders! A pan of 50 for $50, these are not just a thin small tender, he uses the whole portion of the breast tender. Fresh, not frozen! He marinades and batters them in the store. They were so good. The potatoe wedges were good as well ... 50 large wedges for $10. The party sub had a really nice bun, like a bakery bun. It was fully loaded up. The antipasto salad was very fresh and the home made dressings were very good! The pizza was fresh and tasty. Thank you Gary! This Buscemi's is a really good one. I think that almost all of their liquor is state minimum and that is a huge plus for me. Their party trays of pizza and subs are also really good. I stop in at least a few times a week for pizza and pop. read more
