New in town and looking for a delicious meal, we looked on Yelp and found this Italian restaurant…read morewith average reviews so we decided to try it. What a magnificent find it was! This has become our new favorite Italian restaurant. We started with a bottle of Chianti and calamari, followed by the main course of pasta carbonara and lasagna. Muaaa! The food far exceeded our expectations. Very delicious, very friendly and prompt service. They look after you very well making sure you have above average satisfaction. I don't understand why it isn't a 5 star. More customers should rave about it here. We will definitely be returning soon.

To be fair he was a nice chap so that's ok. He made the big mistake in my eyes of forgetting my grappa; not forgiven but everything else he did was good. Bruschetta whilst we waited for our starters were good and our starters were; fritto mixto (over cooked) and spaghettini carbonara (perfect!!!!) got the show on the road. Our mains were pasta and garlicky herbs and a pizza were excellent. No complaints at all! Drinks were a bottle of oprosseco and then a bottle of verdicchio. Space between tables is tight and this is the reason I didn't rate it as 4 stars. More space would earn another star. Finished with good coffee (but no grappa! Worth a visit!!

Drinks are reasonably priced and the beer garden is a great place to congregate with patio heaters for when it's a bit cooler! I must add though I wouldn't bother visiting in the day- they offer cake & coffee for £3- the drinks were Luke warm and the cake was a tiny (even the kids would've been disappointed) piece of waitrose's finest & lovely as it is I could buy the whole cake for less and enjoy it more!! What is a great night venue is dark & dingy by day! With tables stacked up at the side, which is no mean feat considering they are old beer barrels, it felt like an after thought! The whole cake & coffee thing should either be done properly or not at all - for what's on offer I personally wouldn't bother opening in the day at all, it must've cost the owner more in utilities and staffing than was actually made- however if they need staff in the day I'm more than happy to take a job- being paid to sit chatting with friends in the beer garden is most agreeable! Shame really because it could be so much more if it was given some thought - we ended up leaving & going to Costa to get a hot drink! The 3 stars I gave it were purely for the night time side of things sadly brought down buy the miserable existence/experience of the day visit!
