I was forthcoming and they turned around and back stabbed me. They said I lied about my son's age. I have so much proof to disprove their allegations. They continuously labeled my son as "special needs", which he is not. In short, they provided care for less than a month until they kicked my son out because he is a danger to other students. I told a few mild off colored jokes and and he corrected me in a very nice way. The church is warm and welcoming. The people there span from very wealthy to folks that are in need of help. Folks from 80 to little kids. People wear whatever they want with no down-turned looks. The associate pastor, whom is a African American is the nicest man you ever want to meet. Its 70% White, 10% Asian and 20% African American. Probably about 100 people go here but everyone feels like family. There are MANY outings too! By the way its also very child-friendly. They have a room where children can play! Anyhow there are outings to major Christian concerts, outings to a Wisconsin nature retreat with fishing, boating and campfires, and a all inclusive cruise in the Bahamas (all group). That being said the focus of everything is on Jesus and His word. No religion. Just spirituality. Its all about the Word and the Bible. Its a evangelical church. No sit, kneel, stand like Catholics. Its down to Earth Bible stuff. A loving group that loves Christ. (beautiful interior too!)

There is a lot of music but once you know the songs it can take you to a place of meditation with the Lord. There is about 70 members in and out and holds about 174 people.

The Saturday mass time works better for busy singles and families, or for anyone used to an evening worship time. Sunday works better for anyone who likes a morning service, with traditional and contemporary choral music. The food pantry is open every 1st and 3rd Wednesday 430pm-630pm at "the rectory," which is the blue house across the lawn from St Nick's parking lot. It's open to all comers, no residency requirement or ID check. St Nicholas is a welcoming, affirming, gay-friendly church in the Episcopal tradition. No matter what faith you come from, come home to St Nicholas.
