My mother LaVerne Harden had been a member of WCC since 1980 when I was one years old. My mother recently passed away and WCC did not even want to pay for the programs for her funeral. Other family and friends offered to chip in for programs. How embarrassing is that! They also wanted to charge us $250 for someone to sing at her funeral for less than an hour! Once again, another friend had to help out and got someone from her church to sing for free. WCC should be ashamed of themselves!
My mom had been going to WCC for 40 years and helped build that church and they couldn't even help out with music or programs? What kind of people are they. Not to mention that my mom's funeral was rushed, some people were not able to view her body since Pastor Derrick Jackson had us on a time limit and was in a rush to get us out of there and move on to the next. No compassion or respect for my mother or her family.
Only 3 people could speak for a few minutes. My mother was 85 years old and had been going to WCC over 40 years and she wasn't even worth more than 6 minutes and a singer and programs?? No memories about her were shared. The casket was never reopened. Nothing was communicated to myself or family. It was more like a circus a funeral.
And they call themselves people of God? That secretary, admin or whatever her title is Barbara Gilliam was so rude, unprofessional and disrespectful towards us that I could no longer speak to her because I was about to get disrespectful too! Especially during my time of grief. Who does that? No compassion whatsoever.
That's disrespectful, rude and unprofessional. But they call themselves Christians!
Not to mention that they have my cousin's and aunt so brainwashed that they feel that they are better than woman who are unmarried. They cannot associate themselves with such low grade women. Never in the Bible have I heard that the Lord feels that people should put others down or think that they're better than anyone.
Growing up in this church and seeing what they're about I had my reservations about having my mom's going home celebration there in the first place but I knew that that's what she would've wanted.
I know one thing for. I'll NEVER step foot in that so called "church" again. They are heathens, fake and phony backsliders. And for the amount of money they ask for I'm wondering should they still be considered a nonprofit organization! Sounds like they're profiting to me! read more
