You people are great at excluding anyone who doesn't fit your definition of good. A little baby with her father who is protecting your rights to exclude anyone was thrown out of your precious playground. You Catholics are the actual professionals at exclusion of​ good.

They have so many different rooms and capabilities, it certainly is capable of a lot of great ministry. So what I think would be helpful would be to let you know that this church is biblically focused and the messages are founded in line by line scripture reading. That is to say that the teaching here is about His Word. For me, this is the best way for me to build my existing relationship with God, and I am grateful to have been led here. I recommend you watch some services online and see if this church is where God is calling you to. Also know that the Children's ministry is strong and active and my two kids enjoy attending. Lastly, the church is handling COVID in the best way possible... which is to respect everyone at their own level of comfort. Services have been outside, with social distancing and mask wearing when you're not at your seat. This could be a good place for you and your family, and if not, I pray God will lead you to a church you can connect to.

My nephew was baptized here this past weekend. I'm not religious, but I knew it would be lousy on my end if I didn't show up to the church but only to the brunch afterwards. I honestly don't remember the last time I went to church. I can tell you that it was long before there were projector screens that displayed the order of worship. Yeah, I've been out of the loop. BUMC is quite beautiful. The pews had cushions, which again, I don't remember from my days bring dragged to Catholic mass. It helped me actually listen to Pastor Chris give his sermon, which was entitled "A Pinch of Salt. A Glimmer of Light." I hung on to every word, and actually felt inspired at the end of the service. I didn't join in with the prayers, hymns, or anything else normal church-going folk do, but that's a personal preference. Overall, my experience at BUMC was a nice one. I highly recommend this church if you live in the area. The parishioners were friendly; the Director of Connections and Engagement Ministries, Gayle Richards was a great speaker as well. They gave a special introduction and warm welcome to their new members. And of course, Pastor Chris is awesome. If I was religious, I would want to be married by him, without a doubt.

From being a Lector/Proclaimer, a Eucharistic Minister, Mass Coordinator and being a Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11983. If you're looking for a church that offers a sincere family type experience, I encourage you to become a part of this wonderful parish, even if you have to drive an hour or so to get there! Nothing was holy -- from the art, the music, the liturgy. It was like a Mega Church giving shallow entertainment, hoping the sappiness stirs the congregation. Nothing Catholic about it. It was a bad imitation of a protestant service. I was horrified from beginning to end. For those who gave a good review, I urge you to find a good Catechism class. Not at this institution, though. Some may attribute dissatisfaction to the fact that this church has "liberal" views. I saw nothing liberal or conservative. I heard nothing liberal or conservative. I would be labeled "progressive" for my political views. Please don't insult liberals by calling what happens at this place such. I'm still in a state of disbelief.
