The Foodie Frenzy Gourmet Gift Box in holiday wrapping
Andi W.

My partner and I tried the olive oil and vinegar at the Olive Tap while we were visiting Manitou Springs, and we were floored by the amazing flavors and robust selection, along with the friendliness of the staff. We got some oil and vinegar pairing sets with bread dipping spices as part of some Christmas gifts we bought for friends, and it came impeccably wrapped with beautiful happy holidays bow. We are so excited to introduce our friends to this amazing business, and hopefully they'll all return for more after trying these incredible products! We also got the Foodie Frenzy Gourmet Tasting Box, which is SO BEAUTIFUL. It came with recipe ideas and we are so excited to try every single item! Thank you to the Olive Tap for being such a lovely business! We are now lifetime customers and will never go anywhere else.

I've been coming here for quite some time and have yet to have a bad experience. Why I've never reviewed The Olive Tap is beyond me. Is usually would come for the spicy garlic olive oil but I went for the pesto oil this time and can't wait to try it. I also got the granny smith balsamic which I tried and fell in love with! Annnnnnd I also got a peach balsamic and that was heavenly as well. They do loyalty cards here so make sure to start one of those if you come here even semi-frequently. Oh! They are allowing tastings again, just make sure to ask the staff and they will help. The staff member on 06/12/21 was out of this world friendly and so helpful! Explained a lot about the store we didn't know and was so fun to chat with. We made sure we didn't take too much of their time as they just opened (we maaaay have waited outside until they did lol, discreetly on a bench of course) but were already so busy!

If you need a certain kind of olive oil, The Olive Tap has it. If you aren't sure what you are looking for, The Olive Tap lets you sample anything. You can even make your own olive oil or vinegar. Right in the heart of Manitou Springs, this is a place you won't want to miss.

I can't believe no one has reviewed this place yet - it is amazing! If you like Olive Oil (and who doesn't?!) you will be in absolute heaven!! Mini kegs (of oil) everywhere with all flavors begging to be tasted! Along the wall are more kegs of balsamic vinegar, of such exotic flavors they make your head spin! Give your hands a thorough washing (licking dirty fingers may impact taste) and give yourself over to the oily goodness! I bought a bottle of mixed basil and garlic olive oil (slightly pricey at $15) and some white peach balsamic. At home I got some rosemary bread and seriously lived off this for 3 days. (Only stopped because I ran out of bread!) The bottles are a pretty good size, and when you pick your flavor they bottle and cork it right there for you - awesome! Get yourself to Manitou Springs and over to The Olive Tap, and prepare for bliss!

My favorite!

Great place to get your oils and vinegars. If you can't spice your recipes up with their goodies, quit cooking

Any type of olive oil or balsamic blend you could possibly think of. And the ability to taste all of them? Nice

Easy parking in the back, that makes such a difference. Lord the old black and white photos used for the decor, makes it very elegant. Staff was cheerful and shout out to Adam for making us feel at home at once and making great suggestions and being most patient as we works through the elaborate menu. We got Fried Calamari, Fried Artichoke and Calms for appetizers along with some Ice teas and wine. Tutto Di Mare, Cheese Ravioli, Gnocchi Bolognese all followed after the antipasti. Service size was great and food was very delicious and touched the right notes. They got a complimentary small Cannoli with a candle on it as a sweet gesture and we all sang the Birthday song. Improvement scope : the quantity and size of the callops and shrimps in Tutto Di Mare could be larger. Transparency : They add a 3% add on inflation tax. Over all a great experience. Thank you!!

I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the wedding soup. I wish I could say it hit every note I needed, however the chicken was really dry and the soup incredibly salty. The good...the service was fast and friendly and the bread they brought to the table was delicious.

For a place focused on wine, they should really step up the charcuterie. The main reason I am writing this review is because I have had a very bad experience with one of the servers there two different times now. I do not want to name her but she is one of the most rude and abrasive people I've come across in a customer service setting. I realize This may sound dramatic, but, she made my friend who was a new mom cry. The next time we went the hostess told us to get a drink at the bar and sit while we waited for our table. we waited at the bar and when she walked up she asked if she could help up with something. I smiled and asked if there was a drink menu we could look at. She went on to get very (seemingly) agitated and question why we were standing at the bar. she acted mad about it. I was so confused because we were just told to go to the bar. I got nervous and just apologized just she laughed at me. later there were people sitting at the bar so I'm not sure what we were doing wrong. again- I know all of this seems like no big deal but as an anxious person It was the kind of thing that bothered me so much I kept thinking about it for my entire meal. It really turned me off. everyone has off days but after making my friend Cry and then that It left a bad taste in my mouth.

The ambiance was woodsy, but appropriately modern for a mountain restaurant. The food is a special find in the region. Wines of Colorado makes a deliberate effort to make the quality, home-made nature, curated ingredients, and deliberate menu work for everyone. It's apparent in not only the food but their namesake (libations).... Well done! I had the arancini's and Bzuffalo meatloaf. Delicious! I will be back and thank you for the experience. ***I am ashamed for not taking pics. Family outing and it didn't occur to me. ***

The menu was extensive, affordable for this class of dining, and River and Charlotte were attentive, accommodating, and helpful. The fixed price menu was very reasonable for the courses, the portions were large, and the options for all but the last course, dessert, were nice to see. The other 3 table mates shared their choices with me, and I was over the moon with each bite. I had the Osso Bucco with saffron rissoto, one of my favorite Italian dishes, though there were so many good options. And I have never been given the proper utensil to enjoy the bone marrow. I was so tempted by the risotto or polenta seafood as the latter as an option was new to me. Everyone expressed delight with our service and delicious dinners.

Homemade pastas are so so so good. Great chew, and the sauces are excellent. I had the carbonara this latest visit, sheesh. Rich, velvety, goodness. Wish the Guanciale had been consistently crisp. Only holdups from a 5th star. My Colorado Bulldog wasn't quite right (way too much Coke). Also the beer menu is embarrassingly bad. We have so many great breweries in The Springs, let alone the OCC area.
