    Living in Tahiti, I was planning a one month hot yoga practice in Irvine this summer. I decided to couple it with a personal training as close as I could find to Woodbridge area. I checked through Google and it directly led me to HybridFitness-Oc website. I asked for informations through their email and Steve was very quick to reply. Mostly to learn about my goals, my expectations and how often I was ready to train a week. Well, that first contact was easy and felt already comfortable. We then set the date of the 1st session on the day of my arrival. Quick I said lol. Of course, I was told that the 1st session would be about meeting both Steve and Stéphanie. Weight and measurements. And sessions schedule per week. He was even ready to put me through training right away. That's how enthusiastic your coach is. Well, as expected, 1st session was great ! They were both available to answer any of my questions. I also got to know them through their own lifestyle/fitness journey. As Steve used to deal with overweight issues and Stephanie with Crohn's disease. The spot : Getting to the gym can be quite impressive. There, both Hybrid and Primal, two personal training companies share the same space : it's pretty well equipped, it's big enough to fit in 30 to 50 people at ease. The concept : Every person that goes there will be assisted by its own personal trainer. You're never alone then will never feel left out or lost. Like you could feel in other places. Don't get overwhelmed by the people there. They are so focused on their training they don't pay attention to you. Neither will you when you'll get familiar with it ! Steve style : He's fun and chill. Handsome too. We got that. And he just knows how to make you comfortable ! He listens, understands and cares. He will design either your training program or/and meal plan fitting your body type, your level of fitness and expectations. That's how important 1st contact / session is. Ask him anything, be open, right from the start he will provide ! The session : You warm up. You get 2 circuits which consist of 3 sets of 4 workouts exercises targeting different parts of the body. You get 2 minutes of cardio in between each sets. That's the process you'll get used to. The expert : Steve will detail and break down each workout for you. He will show you how to do it correctly with specific explanations on muscles involved and then will put you through it. He will even adapt some exercises you would have a tough time doing, as I had once or twice :) The magic : He knew how to push me above my limits and having a lot of fun doing it. He also let me work on my own from time to time. I love the feeling of doing my stuff right and all by myself. He gave me that space too !! Most of all, he put me through some workouts I wouldn't be able to do otherwise : hanging leg raise, where he stands behind you to stable your back. Punching bag. Heavy bag flips. Rope drill. You will get more and more familiar with using the machine around too. And Steve will raiser wether the charges, the reps and level. The intensity is on you :) The bliss : I received way more than I expected. I was treated with care and respect. Steve and his wife Stephanie surrounded me with their kindness and fitness knowledge all along ! I felt each day stronger and more confident. I shrank in a short time and gain some toning and a lot of strength ! I was consistent with Steve's meal plan and had tremendous results in so little time !!!! I would recommend everyone to go there. They're efficient, kind and really affordable. 3 times a week. 4 weeks a month coast me 350$. Where else would you get such a rate for that high quality-tailored service ??? I feel lucky and honored for getting to meet and train with them. Thank you endlessly to Steve and Stephanie. I will come again for sure !

    I can't thank you enough Steve for your help in getting me back in shape and healthy again. I'm 47 and I've never been in a better shape. The numbers speak for themselves, my bad cholesterol dropped by nearly half within 3 months! Thanks again and thank you Steph for all your encouragement

    My arms have become noticeably more toned/firm. There is actually definition in/between my shoulders, biceps, and triceps now!

They've really given new meaning to the idea that doing the hard thing is often the right thing. And the beautiful part is -- it does feel worth it. There's something incredibly empowering about looking back and realizing, "I worked hard for this. I pushed through. I earned these results." Not just physically, but mentally too. What makes this place special is that it truly feels like a family and community. The coaches pour so much into their clients, and you can feel that they genuinely want to see people succeed in all aspects of life, not just inside the gym. I could clearly see the structure and accountability Jacob provided - there was always a plan, which removed a lot of the guesswork that usually leads to falling off. His relationship with food also changed in a really healthy way, focusing on protein and consistency without extreme restriction or stress. As a family, it's been inspiring to watch. What makes Priscilla stand out is how responsive she is to my body and my goals. Jon is great. He'll work with you to cater your training needs. He does a great job of explaining the plans. Steve is the trainer that got assigned to me based on my goals and my time availability. He does a good job of giving you workouts, making sure your form is right, keeping you in check, and being very flexible with your schedule. I tell him if I'm training for a half marathon or Spartan race, and he'll cater the workouts to what's needed. The physical gym is great because it's not too busy at certain times, so it's perfect for all backgrounds of training. They also offer massages, cupping, saunas and cold plunges.     I have been working out with coach Norm for 6 months and he's my first personal trainer ever. I am…read moremoderately active and have only been doing walks and yoga regularly before. Let me tell you, his training changed my whole body! My body has transformed completely from a regular female body with not much strength in the upper body, to one that has muscle definition, energy and strength. Body changes: Belly before: a little pouch, kind of pudgy, but some core strength from yoga Belly after: smaller waist, OBLIQUES showing, lean and very strong core muscles Chest before: just lean, not much strength Chest after: visible nice looking layer of chest muscles that is not too much, still feminine and look strong and healthy like a celebrity Shoulders before: rounded, not very good posture, very normal looking Shoulders after: shoulder look leaner, more angular and look much better in clothes. I even have super defined muscles when I flex and it's crazy amazing! Arms before: slightly fat in the upper arm, probably have some hidden muscles to begin with Arms after: that layer of fat is replaced by strong muscle definition and they look so good and feel stronger Legs before: chubby and not too strong. I am built with more fat in this area Legs after: stronger quads and better looking calves! Unbelievable. It's not making me become someone with hot model legs but I look much better than before! Coach Norm is so kind, so compassionate, and most importantly, his workouts feel like checking in with my buddy. We joke around while he gives me complex moves while carefully observing my form and help me make micro adjustments so my workout is more effective and safe. He's really good at not pushing me to the brink of hating working out and always let me stop a set early if he spots that I am struggling with it, so I don't get injured. With his charisma, caring attitude and expertise in the industry I couldn't recommend him enough!
