This Old Spaghetti Factory in Kelowna was packed when we had dinner here on a Tuesday night. Like every table was filled. I'm not sure if that's the norm in Canada or maybe in North America, but in Hawaii, OSF isn't a popular restaurant at all. We came in with a large group and Ang helped us. She was so nice. I can't believe she was able to keep all of my family happy (there were 21 of us) and keep a smile on her face. Amazing. She's the best server I've had in awhile. She made sure everyone got the correct orders, refilled our bread and water. She even was patient enough to give us separate checks. I ordered the chicken penne with spaghetti noodles instead of penne noodles. It was ok. I think I'd stick to spaghetti with meat sauce next time. The French onion soup was a $3 up charge and a little on the salty side. I think the spumoni ice cream at the end is the highlight of the meal. If you like cheap drinks and lots of carbs, this is your place. For me it's just kind of ok. The service was excellent though!! read more

Dined in for dinner on June 26 as it was close to our hotel. It was my first time to an Old Spaghetti Factory, but my friend has been a couple times and said it's always a great value. Most of their meals are in the $15-20 range and include sourdough bread, minestrone soup OR salad, entree, and ice cream. Not bad. We dined in on a Friday night and the whole restaurant was pretty full (well "full" given that they blocked off every other table for social distancing purposes). We had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a table since we walked in and didn't have a reservation. I didn't realize but they have an extensive cocktail menu here, all for pretty affordable prices. Just don't expect to have much alcohol in your drink. I thought of my bellini as juice (it was super tasty) and that was about right. Same for my friend's long island. I appreciated their flexibility with the food orders. I wanted the seafood linguine marinara ($17.25), but with the meat sauce instead, and they were able to accommodate that. My friend ordered the spaghetti with Beyond Meat meatballs, but unfortunately they had just run out of the meatballs. They accommodated his request to make a custom pesto linguine ($14.95) with vegetables instead, which I thought was nice. The minestrone soup was pretty good. My seafood linguine was solid as well. Nothing extraordinary, but it was exactly what I expected. I feel like you can't go wrong with a spaghetti dish here. For ice cream, you can either choose a scoop of vanilla or chocolate / vanilla / pistachio ice cream swirl. I recommend the vanilla since the pistachio wasn't that good. All in all, not bad for a sub $20 meal! read more

Not bad, but lacking a few nice touches we have come to expect from OSFs. For instance, they did not have the creamy pesto salad dressing, iced tea as complimentary and they were missing the tortellini alfredo that's part of the manager's favorite eligible dishes. Came here with a group of friends for some birthdays. Pre made a reservation. Was greeted upon arrival. The staff were very friendly. They gave up some time to chat before taking our order. We had four adults and two younger children. The servers were very attentive to the younger children and made them feel like part of the adults. Our appies were delivered in a timely manner as well as the mains. Don't forget to order the Spumoni for dessert... the food here is always good, nothing amazing but homey style pasta. I rarely eat pasta, but my boyfriend wanted to come here for lunch. The restaurant is very nice. It's carpeted and has beautiful stained glass windows. It felt very cozy. Our waitress was also very upbeat and pleasant. As for the food, I thought it was just okay. Every meal includes sourdough bread, soup or salad and ice cream for dessert. I really like sourdough bread and the loaf we had came with regular and garlic butter. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce. For the entree, spaghetti and meatballs, I received a bowel filled with copious amounts of pasta and three large meatballs. It was quite bland. I ate the meatballs and only 1/4 of the noodles. Dessert was a cup of ice cream. I don't think the food is spectacular but it's okay. The Spaghetti Factory is still a nice establishment to go to if you're into Italian food. read more

My boyfriend and I are vegetarians and typically sensitive to our waitresses attitude towards our extra questions, and the service here was extremely thorough and polite--even stopping to mention a dish that wasnt listed as having meat in it to me that I was considering. Furthermore, we accidently left our left overs here, and came back over 30 minutes later for them--they were gone-- so they offered to cook us up another serving! When the pasta arrived I was starving, dug right in and let me tell you the sauce was watery, tasted like they ran out of sauce and had to run it under the sink. The noodles were definitely microwaved hot on the outside and ice solid on the inside. After a few bites I know something was off. I got my brother to take a bite and he almost shat his pants. I didn't want to be a Karen so I sucked it up and finished most of my dish one bite at a time, washing it down with my water. We were very excited to have found the old spaghetti factory as we have not had an opportunity to eat at this franchise in decades. However the excitement faded almost immediately after walking into the place ... In an empty restaurant the hosted rushed us through seating all the while rambling off specials at top speed while rattling cutlery clumsily and noisily.. The server brought all the wrong drinks to the table along with a loaf of bread so stale you could hammer a nail with it.... Eventually we got our food. Ok we made a reservation for 20 they didn't inform us that they couldn't seat us together! when only 14 showed up oops sorry. They put some tables together but were not pleased. I immediately tipped $20. We waited a very long time for our drink orders and the bread had to be asked for! When the salad came the dressing was bland and the greens were sour from a bag and brown I kindly asked for mine to be sent back they offered no apology. Some others never ate theirs. The wait was kinda long but not too long for the dinner rush on a Friday. The decor was lovely. Our server was just wonderful she was so sweet and despite the fact that it was busy she made sure we were looked after and that we were comfortable. The food was good. It is always difficult to give a chain restaurant a 5, but this is one of the best OSFs I have gone to. Service was great, food was nice and hot, and you leave feeling full without setting you back too much. No word on the ladies washroom, but the mens washroom was very clean. My party was not there at a super busy time, but it looks like the parking lot also has more than enough space so even at busier times parking should not be a problem. Would go back. read more
