This place is filled with treasures and the owners are about as friendly as you'll ever find and if you find something you like and the odds are you will let your pocket full of sweaty cash help you negotiate a deal. I found a few pieces I knew I was taking home with me and I was hoping they wanted to sell them as bad as I wanted to buy them and at the end of the day I was loading them in my truck. There are some outstanding collectibles here and it's pretty apparent the owner has an eye for filling this shop full of things that's worth stopping in to look at. This is the type of shop I love to walk through, these types of places are becoming more rare everyday and it such a refreshing break from the "antique malls" filled with polished glass and locked displays. Oh yes- this was going to take more than a few minutes! Front, side and entire backyard was more than the eye could take in of garden do-dads and outdoor decor. THEN you walk inside- oh my goodness! Where to look- which direction to go! 3 feet into the store I knew I was buying presents for my daughter. I had to restrain myself so many times! I stuck to my initial instinct and bought some wrought iron hooks in wonderful designs- a lighthouse and an octopus! I may even mount them on wood for her as a special touch! It is a tad dark inside and there are very narrow aisles between the "booths". They are filled to the brim with a mix of genuine antiques, collectibles, copies, and vintage as well as some newer items. We did a quick run through checking out prices on items our parents and grandparents used to own. Some of the things were crazy high. But others more reasonable. And we had to remember that we were in a tourist town, so there is that. It would be a great place to explore for an hour or so -- especially on a rainy day or just to take a break from the sun. As you make your way around the shop be sure to look everywhere- up, down on the floor, on various shelves, bookcases, benches- you name it, it's covered in items for sale! They are dog lovers, bird lovers and even have fostered kittens in this shop! Prices vary- I know a little about antiques to know a good deal, but usually end up buying art instead of antiques here! They have even had some pottery pieces that my mom collected in the 80's- I almost bought last time I was in. But, that's mom's style and not actually mine. Also this "store" was listed under thrift shops. As we entered, we saw that in the back there are a few areas with vintage items and some antiques. But the place is more of a collection of artisan offerings -- each with their own area -- of everything from jewelry to painted signs, gifts and tourist things. Housewares to home decor; bric a brac to collectibles. Handmade and custom creations. The staff is quite nice. The store is fun to browse. And the kind of place to look for a unique gift for that someone who has everything.
