We have been to antique shops that don't take time to make sure booths are stocked, that they are displayed nicely- this mall was everything done right! Great finds- I found several gifts and wanted more than what I bought- a true sign of a good antiquing spot! That's usually a rarity, I am a thorough hunter, these days I am on the lookout for all things pottery. I also am always searching for cookbooks, copper pots, glass, scouting gear and anything that tickles my fancy. More than hunting treasures to buy, I adore the jog down memory lane. Seeing things from my childhood, things that my grandmother had or aunts or my mom. Memories are funny- seeing just the right thing can bring back vivid memories! We had a metal cake holder with a wooden acorn handle at the top- when I saw this, I smelled cake baking! Great finds, great deals- have fun finding treasures!

This time, John got a book and I found a piece of pottery. As you make your way around the shop be sure to look everywhere- up, down on the floor, on various shelves, bookcases, benches- you name it, it's covered in items for sale! They are dog lovers, bird lovers and even have fostered kittens in this shop! Prices vary- I know a little about antiques to know a good deal, but usually end up buying art instead of antiques here! They have even had some pottery pieces that my mom collected in the 80's- I almost bought last time I was in. But, that's mom's style and not actually mine. Even if those items have great sentimental value~ Check this place out next time you find yourself in the area!

This is one of those old tyme antique shops that you don't want to blow by when traveling through…read morethe area. I actually made a u-turn after passing it and I'm so glad I did. This place is filled with treasures and the owners are about as friendly as you'll ever find and if you find something you like and the odds are you will let your pocket full of sweaty cash help you negotiate a deal. I found a few pieces I knew I was taking home with me and I was hoping they wanted to sell them as bad as I wanted to buy them and at the end of the day I was loading them in my truck. There are some outstanding collectibles here and it's pretty apparent the owner has an eye for filling this shop full of things that's worth stopping in to look at. This is the type of shop I love to walk through, these types of places are becoming more rare everyday and it such a refreshing break from the "antique malls" filled with polished glass and locked displays. If you visit any of the shops in the area save some time and money and spend sometime with these folks...

John found a Richard Scarry children's book in French and quickly called his sister to see if she wanted it for our niece. Next find was a Boy scout handbook from dad's childhood! I found some sweet bells, but when I spotted the giant jug under a table I held my breath as I turned it over and saw the name Dover- Seagrove! The tag was labeled as such- 1987 Seagrove pottery- score! I snapped pictures and took the jug home too- already sent photos to my friends in Seagrove, I know the family studio it was made in! How cool- to find it in Brunswick, Ga! Great prices too- John and I both bought from the same booth!!!
