I had the absolute worst haircut I have ever had in my life. The front sections were like 3 inches in different lengths. She butchered the back and gave me uneven layers. I specifically told her at the beginning that I wanted to keep length at the front as I had 2 front pieces that were highlighted. Again she said this was no problem. After I told her she messed up my hair she told me I should have gone to the other girl there who had previously did my hair. Seriously?? Nice response. Unbelievable. This is why I have heard so much, because I ask people where they got such a great hair cut and shave. They tell me " I go to Raf's in Langley on the one way, you can't miss it." So this time I finally went in and was amazed. I was told to go in early as there is most likely a wait the later you go. So I went in around noon and waited for two fellows to get done before I was in there. About twenty minutes later I was released from his clutches and was looking and feeling like a million dollars. I have never been groomed in such a manner. Very, very laid back fun environment, fun chatter to listen to, or get involved with, what ever have you. Knows the art of hairstyle very well. The reason I sent him to Tommy Gun's instead of his usual chop shop is because he's been working hard and also doing a lot with our two very young children, and I wanted him to have a bit of an indulgence. First of all, for $25, the hair cut was very, very average. It actually looked only slightly better than some of his previous $12 cuts at places like First Choice and Supercuts. Second, there was no scalp massage whatsoever, and he even looked confused when I asked him how he enjoyed the hair cut. It was exactly the same as any other (much cheaper) place. He didn't get anything else done because it would have been extra. Maybe I didn't understand their advertising, maybe it was just that location, but all I know is, I'll be looking for some other place to spoil the guys in my life.
