Queso Fundido Chorizo
May D.

Came here with my friends off the cruise ship while in Cabo San Lucas. Although this place is walkable rom the main pier (over a mile walk) the fastest way to get here is by Water Taxi that costs $5 one way. My first time here, one thing that was immediately noticeable is the number of vendors on the beach, offering various merchandise, massage services, and photo ops with exotic animals, which can be annoying while you dine. The restaurant has an open concept, with lots of beach umbrellas for shade. Ordered chips and salsa with guacamole, agua chile, red snapper, queso fundido chorizo, burritos and tacos. Our server, Rogelio was very attentive, even made sure we were in good hands as his shift was ending. Food was ok, lots of leftovers; they even allowed us to stay while we got massages on the beach. When we were done, we ate again, even gave us some fresh tortillas. Because the restaurant has an open concept, that means there are lots of flys hovering over your food. They do place like a sterno type jelly that went fire lit, functions as a fly repellent. The servers constantly bring new ones when they fire goes out. It's convenient that it's by the beach; but would try other restaurants next time.

We made reservations and asked for a table on the water. The request was honored. Our server was patient and courteous. The food was delicious! We all got different meals and no one was disappointed! Our guests loved it so much they wanted to return the next day!

Tortilla soup

Review for dinner on a Friday night The food was alright. The tortilla soup was the consensus favorite which isn't saying much for the sea bass and ceviche and calamari. Ceviche was standard but the fish was overcooked. Calamari was rubbery and served cold. We came here on an overcast day and the vibes were amazing, no umbrellas opened so you could see, not as many people, and a rainbow appeared during our dinner. It did get crowded later on and pretty loud with the tequila guy blowing his whistle but it is a part of the vibe I suppose. Water is stupid expensive (not here but everywhere)...so bring your own or drink alcohol instead! Overall food isn't the best but enjoyable for the views and the vibes if you're able to get a table in the front!

Extremely expensive will never come back here again

My wife, I, and our three children visited the office for lunch. We inquired with the host about making a reservation for a table, and he informed us that they do not accept reservations. We responded by saying, 'OK, we will go swim in the ocean and return.' Approximately an hour and a half later, we returned, and I was greeted by the head waiter wearing a pink sash, who identified himself as the general manager wearing a pink skirt. He asked me, 'Do you have a reservation?' I replied no and explained that the host had informed us that they do not take reservations. He countered, 'No, you must have a reservation.' I clarified that this contradicted the information provided by the host at the entrance. He responded, 'If you do not like it, you can go elsewhere.' My wife and our three children witnessed this exchange and became extremely uncomfortable and frightened. Another gentleman intervened and offered to seat us, although not in the front section, citing that numerous tables were reserved. A gentleman wearing a pink sash claimed that those tables were already occupied. It appears that the establishment prioritizes patrons who are willing to spend between $200 to $300 on food, rather than those who may only order a drink. I will not return to this establishment again. If Edith, the owner, were aware of the treatment we received, she would likely be displeased. As a long-time customer who has referred hundreds of patrons to their business, I will no longer continue to do so. Negative reviews and word of mouth can significantly impact their business. I will also be contacting Edith personally about this. I also want to talk about our waiter Samuel, which was absolutely amazing. He took care of us graciously and was very respectful.

Priceless!! Service was impeccable! This place became THE spot for breakfast for my friends and I while traveling in Cabo. The staff was sooo much fun and engaging. They made sure we were having a great time while enjoying amazing food. If you ever get the chance to get to The Office please try the steak breakfast! TO DIE FOR!!! The beach front seating provides and amazing vibe

Dining on the beach made for a fantastic family brunch. Some blogs disavow The Office as a 'tourist trap'. Yes, it's catered towards tourists and pricey. BUT - it's totally worth it. Delicious food, amazing Medano Beach views and attentive service. You literally dine on the sand. The only thing we didn't enjoy was having a table on the edge of the dining area, closest to the beach. While having the best views, we also got the most attention from people selling souvenirs on the beach. It was constant. Another great perk - The Office offers valet parking. At no cost, other than tip for the Valet, you can get cheap and easy beach parking. We had brunch, then spent several hours on the beach without issue. We highly recommend visiting The Office while in Cabo!

Manny our waiter and the amazing food!

We returned to the office after 10 years and it was amazing. Our waiter Manuel moved us to the front row. What a view Medamdo beach! So we sampled the food. Shrimp and eggs and amazing margaritas. Spicy Don Julio silver. Our favorite we asked for and not on the menu. Avocado and shrimp and tuna salad mix. Omg. Yes. That good. See pictures. If you ever come to Cabo this is a must first stop

Flavored margaritas on the rocks in a goblet: not bad and not too sweet

Touristy spot on the beach with a fun name. 3.5 stars Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere 4 Opentableable: no, online form or call only Cost to worth it rating: 3 Return worthiness: yes Highlights: - Tables in the sand: gives you that vacay feel Fresh guacamole: great and very crispy thick tortilla chips - Margaritas: served in thick glass goblets. Cadillac was fine and passion fruit on the rocks was different and good--not too sweet. - Shrimp tacos: shrimp on a reddish sauce and fresh tortillas. 3.5 stars - Steak tacos: tons of little cubes of steak in the tortilla my hub liked. 4 stars - Guacamole, salsa, and chips: pretty standard. 3 stars - Boat ride: apparently the restaurant has their own boat with glass bottom windows and a guy comes around to ask if you're interested. We took a 30 min ride and it was fun and easy. Lowlights: - Showed up for lunch on a Monday and apparently we needed a reservation and the place was packed. Crowded but fun to hang out at for a drink and food was fine too.

We come every year , and it has just gotten so touristy and expensive. The food is consistently good, but this year the service was just not on point. I left thinking "yeah, ok time to try new places".

The ambiance was unique and definitely very touristy. Live music was lovely and played mostly 80s songs. This is a celebration place and definitely not a quiet dinner! The service was quick but very pushy and they try to upsell a lot. I thought the food was pretty good but agree with the reviews saying it's over priced. I really liked the jumbo shrimp(came with tortillas to make tacos!) and the calamari was so good especially with the sauces. I would recommend but mostly for the atmosphere. If I were to go again I would just go for drinks and appetisers for the experience.

A must visit while in Cabo! The food was delicious and the service was great! Truly nothing beats eating authentic organic chicken fajitas while having your feet in the sand. We walked in for a late lunch without reservations and requested a table on the beach and they had no problems accommodating us. The food came out quick and was delicious. A little pricey but that was expected. Overall, dining here was one of the highlights of our first trip to Cabo, so if you're looking for authentic Mexican fare in a vibrant, beautiful setting, this is the place for you! Sidebar: I spilled sauce on my blouse and the waiter was kind enough to bring me club soda free of charge (with an actual cloth) to work on the stain before it set and ruined one of my favorite tops. Wonderful service.

We eat here every time we are in Cabo. Love the fresh food and the atmosphere. The prices are definitely USD. And not cheap. The office Rambo will give you a $5 shot of tequila with a good head shake. Hubby always gets whole fried snapper. Daughter and I shared combo platter. Yummyyyyyy

Chips, salsa and guacamole. So good. Fresh.

Wow! The atmosphere on the beach was fun, friendly, and relaxing. The food was delicious. I ordered the chips, salsa, and guacamole. The portion was plenty for two. He ordered the lobster tacos. They were tasty and filled with lobster and sauce. When in Cabo, this is a must, for the food and experience!

The owner has over 100 dogs at his farm he rescues .. at any time there are free roaming dogs special to the owner that he's rescued around the restaurant. At the entrance, there's a place to donate to their dog rescue campaign. can't tell you how much that means to me and how cute these little little dogs are! you have to stop by even if just to feed the dogs bacon, although the octopus appetizer is the best I've ever had!!

However, the second visit was completely different. As soon as we sat on the front row loungers, the server looked unhappy and told us there was a $40 minimum per person. I was like I didn't hear anything about that the day before, but I said okay since we were planning to have lunch anyway. Later, I noticed some white customers sitting in the same area, so I asked if they were told about the minimum. They all said no. When I asked the server why only my family was told, he looked nervous and said he needed to check with the manager. That didn't make sense--if it's a policy, why check? When he came back, he then told the other (white) customers about the $40 minimum, and several of them left right away. It felt like the manager realized they had no choice but to enforce the rule after I questioned it. The whole experience felt very unfair and uncomfortable.

While the food and service makes Tobasco's one of our favorite places, Teamo, a manager, was very rude and discourteous. Several other patrons said that they typically leave when he comes in the afternoon. There was an issue that was resolved by our waiter, Luis, for whom we are grateful. But we are left with a proverbial bad taste in our mouths by the hostile way in which Teamo treated us. It's very unfortunate for such a wonderful place, with delicious food and drinks and a perfect location on the beautiful beach. Hopefully, the owner will recognize the negative effect that Teamo presents to loyal customers like my friends and me, who return yearly almost every day of our trip, and appreciate the rest of the staff and all that Tobasco's offers otherwise.
