After several micro strokes, she became forgetful and was later diagnosed with stroke induced Alzheimer's. So, we needed to find a great memory care facility. After a lengthy search we found Azura. What a great decision. My mom has been there for over a year now and the staff has been wonderful! You can imagine (if you haven't had to deal with Alzheimer's / Dementia in your life) how challenging and monotonous it must be to have people ask you the same questions over and over and it takes special people to be patient and kind during these times. Azura has been a Godsend to not only my mom, but to our family and the peace of mind that they bring, knowing our mom is in good hands.

I can wholeheartedly re-commend Cottagewood Senior Communities to families searching for living arrangements for a family member - in my experience Cottagewood was very understanding, helpful, and compassionate at a time when I needed all the assistance I could obtain, being senior myself and overwhelmed with responsibilities of a kind I had never had to deal with before. The cottages are graded as to the degree of assistance required. The senior nursing staff nurses were understanding and helpful, even though at times the seniors living there were not easy to care for. The administrative staff have walked me through times when I wasn't sure what to do next. The daily hands-on nursing staff were wonderful people, compassionate and kind.
