What a great decision. My mom has been there for over a year now and the staff has been wonderful! You can imagine (if you haven't had to deal with Alzheimer's / Dementia in your life) how challenging and monotonous it must be to have people ask you the same questions over and over and it takes special people to be patient and kind during these times. However, they also do all the medical procedures, proscribe meds, etc. I find it just a better way of looking at my health and wellness. I have used a number of clinics/drs/do's over the years. In the Eau Claire area I find the Pine Grove practice to be the best for me.

Then I received a bill in the mail 2 months after the visit with a "balance forward" and amount due, but no explanation as to what the money was for (about 40% of the total cost of the visit). I called them, and they were very helpful in explaining that they ordered services for me that were not covered under my insurance. The explanation was very wonderful, and the billing department was very thorough in following up and explaining what the charges were for, but I don't understand why what was covered by insurance was not considered. Maybe it's just a sign of the times and our declining health care system as a whole.

Dr. Tarpenning at Hebert Dental is the only reason I do not have dentures right now. He is absolutely the best. I will not see any other dentist. My own child is about to enter dental school and I have told her straight out "I won't see you - only Dr. T!" I honestly cannot speak highly enough about Dr. T and his entire dental staff. From the receptionist to the dental hygienist to the people in billing, you are surrounded by courteous and personable staff. You are made to feel like family. You are cared for. His staff are as exceptional as he is. As an added bonus, they are a lot of fun and go out of their way to get to know you and what you need to make your dental experience as pleasant as it could possibly be. Dr. T is truly outstanding - the most compassionate, gentle, kind and caring dentist I have ever been to. A complete professional with extensive training, knowledge and experience. He knows all of my idiosyncrasies and he is even accustomed to using code words so I don't have a panic attack and yell "Did you just say Root Canal out loud!?!?!" I may have bitten Dr. T on more than one occasion. He doesn't even bat an eyelid when I do it now. I trust him completely. I am certain the feeling is not mutual but he always makes me feel welcome. There is always someone on call, which is beneficial to me because my dental emergencies only seem to happen at 11pm on a Friday. I also love that this practice is very involved in giving back to the community, supporting local and international charities and organizations. The dental offices are bright and welcoming, as are the entire staff and I would recommend them highly to a friend. Side note: I may have, on one occasion, accidentally enjoyed my visit with Dr. T at Hebert Dental. I left with no pain, no plan to return for further work, a smile on my face and some free cherry chapstick! It sounds like I made that up, but it's true - for real.

By reputation, Wisconsin Brain and Spine Center is the best in the mid-west. I agree…read more Drs. Thapar and Porter, plus three FNP's, make up Wisconsin Brain and Spine Center. When I had a severe back injury, literally every other medical professional I spoke with referred me to them, often with comments such as "better than anyone in Minneapolis or Rochester". I was able to be quickly seen and evaluated. Dr. Porter presented options, and did not push surgery for me. After several months of treatment from other professionals with no improvement, I went back and got surgery scheduled within 2 weeks of seeing him. Surgery was fine, and recovery has gone well. He and his staff are professional and courteous. While results will vary depending on circumstances, I have no qualms in recommending the WBSC. I have had other people tell me it can take a long time to get in to see them, this was not my experience. While my first appointment was scheduled fairly far out, they worked me in after a cancellation. Surgery was scheduled two weeks after my second appointment.
