I haven't used all their services, but I've gone floating multiple times at the Hudson location…read more I've always been very happy with my experience there. The various staff I've interacted with were all friendly and knew a lot about float therapy. The vibes of the building are clean and peaceful. I'm happy with the amount of options you have with regards to floating -- music off or on, lights off or on (in the water and in the room), etc. The building is pretty quiet, except one time I think they were doing maintenance or something down the hall and it was a bit noisy so I just turned on the fan to mask the noise and it solved the issue. The water is sometimes a little on the cooler side, but they have heaters by the mirror in the room when you get out so that helps you warm back up. I haven't used any of their other services yet, but I plan on it.

I had a few trips here for the float tank, sauna, and massages, I was a huge fan…read more We're in the midst of the pandemic, I paid for the 3 pass massages. It's not that great of a deal when you calculate it, but I thought it would help them as these types of business have been hit hard by the pandemic. One morning I woke very ill, I had a massage scheduled. I've never canceled an appt before. I called to reschedule and was told about the cancellation fee, I was surprised they would have this during a pandemic when people should be encouraged to protect others and practice caution. I asked if they would consider waiving it since it's a pandemic, I don't know what I am sick with. I got an earful, basically it's the owners policy and that I could come in or pay the fee. I asked if it mattered to them if I got anyone sick, the response was they shouldn't be out of the money for the therapist. I explained I felt bad about that but it seems irresponsible as a business when you have a sick client. She then asked me if I would pay for the FULL massage and they would not charge the fee on top, and not come since I felt bad about canceling, WHAT?? I already paid hundreds upfront to try to support this business in the first place. I couldn't believe it. I would have paid the fee had they approached it with empathy, I was really scared since the illness came on so suddenly, but it was the way I was being treated. They ended up waiving the fee, I think it finally hit home that it's a pandemic and thousands have died, but they made sure to let me know next time I'd have to pay it...like there'd be a next time. I thought I was doing the right thing. What's also terrible, never once did they say "sorry you're not feeling well." The only concern was charging me the fee or for the full service again, they didn't care if I came in. I haven't been back and won't ever. I do not feel safe knowing there are likely people coming in that are sick because of this policy. I've found plenty of other wellness centers with a reasonable policy during this pandemic.

Stopped in with a free pass because I am considering joining this gym. Though it is a bit of a…read moretravel to work out there, I feel it is a nice gym to work in compared to others. If you lock in a year membership the rate is good compare to other gyms. Though, make sure you bring your own towel. I am not sure because it was a Sunday but only seemed like one person was working and I had to wait for a good 15 min before I could be waited on. Also seems to be the same excuse about not knowing anything from this person and the other person at the desk when I left. Which was I just recently started and so not know the answer. I am confused though why if somebody isn't fully trained why would you not have a second person working there? Was all the help just hired at the same time? But other then that, the equipment or atleast the treadmill was easy to figure out how to use. I do like the open area in working out

Gold's is, in my opinion, the best gym in the city of Eau Claire. Not only do they offer a variety…read moreof equipment, but they offer a ton of classes from Aqua Yoga to Zumba. The instructors are all fantastic! They recently received and updated a lot of their equipment, and always keep the gym in good shape by cleaning. I almost always see one of their employees working on something or cleaning the facility. Once you are done working out, whether it be in the pool, weight section, or cardio cinema, you can stop by the desk on your way out for a smoothie! They are really good, and actually not that high in calories. The only thing that I wish they had at this point is towels, but it's easy enough to bring your own. LOVE Gold's, and cannot see myself ever going to another gym in Eau Claire.
