I read the review below and found it to be way off base. My father lived at Azura in Eau Claire within the last few months and was treated with much more respect and dignity than at the other home he was first put in and then discharged from. The first place said he wandered, but he never once tried to do this at Azura. In fact, if he wanted to go outside they took him for walks or into their backyard.
The caregivers were beyond amazing, really knowing what my dad liked to do, even how he took his coffee and it seemed like whenever I visited he was out in the living room doing things. The care was not cheap, but when I looked around I found they had more caregivers on than any other place in town and were much less than trying to do this at home.
I have had other family members in other homes, as this disease seems to run in my family, and the care and kindness shown at Azura was hands down the best. It was apparent that they really knew what they were doing and in fact used their knowledge to help some of my family members in other homes. I think they even speak in the community and are used as consultants, because other places referenced them as "being experts." Anyway, I never regretted having dad in their care and when he passed it was hard to leave, because they feel like family. read more
