Concentrate stocks more, especially fish, and add celery to the fish stock preparation and don't be afraid to season food well. I'm being picky here really, picky but when it's this good then I think they should go the extra mile and nail it completely. The coffees are darn good too. It's a cosy place and hasn't much changed from our memory since it was owned by, I think Mark, but that's long ago. All the serving staff were really attentive to the diners including us. It's really worth supporting and as it's tough times use it or lose it.

Then, we opted for an amazing Baked Alaska for dessert - great call and highly recommended. Service was on point. I appreciate how often they checked in, whether to see if we need more drinks or to ensure we were comfortable with our food. They never made us feel rushed nor did they intrude. As I mentioned, the price was well within line of expectations and the special was a deal. They did not skip on overall value at any point of the meal. Two dishes I would highly recommend, are their Fish Pie, and Black and Blue Burger. I also thoroughly enjoyed their fried cod and salmon with mango sauce. The Tannery has a large car park outside, so you are guaranteed a space near the building, perfect for a quick dash inside in this unpredictable Northern Irish weather! There is also a large covered veranda outside. All in all, the Tannery is building itself a fantastic reputation, and I know people who drive from as far as Ballymena to eat here. They also do breakfast through the earlier part of the day which I've yet to try but I'm sure if it's anything like the moist, charred burgers then it's worth a try. The staff are very outgoing and friendly and at £3.50 a burger it's not hard to see why this attracts such a wide following.
