For what you get, the price is very good, and they are willing to shuffle things around for you on the menus to cater for what you are looking for. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished, and again, not too expensive really. If you are looking to hold an event, I would definitely recommend considering The Roebuck Inn, as I could not fault them, and would definitely look to use them again.

The booking process was a bit difficult - if you want to book more than 4 rooms at the same time, it counts as a group booking and the price goes up to £60 a night for some reason. We arrived 15 minutes before check in time (2pm) and I had called ahead to tell them that we were going to be early, so I wasn't expecting the rather aloof, slightly cross 'welcome' that we got. However, that was the only down side in an otherwise fantastic experience. We grabbed some lunch, which was fast, delicious and really reasonable. I had the hamburger, which was very very good. The rooms were exceptionally clean, large and really nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The only thing to know is that if you are on the railway side of the hotel, it can be a bit noisy if the window is open. I only realised my window was open when I was woken up for the third time as a train went past. I closed the window, didn't hear another thing and slept soundly! The breakfast was fantastic, but it took AGES to get through the queue - the coffee machine and the toaster are on the way to the hot food counter, which slows everything down! The food was lovely, and plentiful and they have quorn sausages if you order them. Overall, I would definitely return and am now a convert to premier inns!

The people seem pleasant and polite. The booking in procedure is very quick and easy and the rooms are fairly comfortable. being such a cheap room, you get what you pay for. No frills, small bathroom and you don't get any extras you have to ask reception for the simplest of things and more often than not pay extra. Sometimes the cleanliness isn't the best, and every visit I have had my room is on one of the top floors and the lift isn't very reliable and looks quite old and I am very reluctant to get in It.

I would say that their breakfast food is of average to high in standard, but I have had a better fry up in a little cafe. The room they serve breakfast in is large and airy. The restaurant food is very good, and I would say that this is a nice place to go to for an evening meal, but the food they serve at the bar is terrible. I once ordered an omlette that was bland and tasteless and it was definitely not worth the money, especially considering that the prices aren't cheap. I have also found that the staff are not at all friendly - they are stuck up and snooty, they don't seem particularly interested in customer satisfaction and are more concerned with taking money from you and getting rid of you.
