I am torn over giving this hotel a 2 star review or 3. The grounds are simply beautiful and the reception staff & breakfast waiters were great & helped towards the 3 star.
My room was in the main building & what seemed like miles. There was no elevator so I had to carry my luggage up staircases and through many passage ways with doors.
My room was large & clean. The floor boards creaked SO much that it was annoying for me let alone my poor neighbours! It was also freezing & this was in early September. There was a heater but it didn't do much.
There were tea & coffee making facilities in my room.
The bathroom was large but very dated.
My room also happened to be close to what must have been the bins. From 6:30am onwards there was crashing and banging outside.
Breakfast was very good & quick.
Not a bad hotel, but also far from a great one!
Not bad for 55pounds including breakfast. read more
