This hotel claims that it's five stars. Now, let me tell you about my experience. My boyfriend and I had booked a weeklong romantic trip to London, And when we arrived early we were pleasantly surprised that the room was ready for us and a fresh bloody Mary was waiting (purchased by us.) Unfortunately, this would prove to be the last positive surprise I would encounter at the Como.
The first thing that stood out to me, after we got to the room, was the bathroom. There weren't any Q-tips in the bathroom. To me, as a frequent flyer a five star hotels, this was the first sign that something was gravely amiss. These fears would be Momentarily confirmed, later when I received a phone call from perhaps the rudest concierge ever. He had booked us one of the most romantic dinners in one of the hottest spots in London. We decided not to go, do to the fact that I wasn't feeling well. (I am four months pregnant.) given these first two experiences Como has dropped from a five star to a three star hotel (One star lost for the Q-tips and one star for the rudeness.)
Now I don't want to belabor my experience, as I was there for five days. However I want to simply leave you with why the coma will finish with a one star review and not a three star. They would lose the nextar for charging us $487.76 USD for bottled water during our stay, as they do not give three waters away. (ladies I even checked the gym in the girls bathroom there were none to be found.) The final starwould be lost when after ordering a full avocado sliced for me and my growing baby they would take my avocado when the maid came, even though I had specifically placed under a napkin on the far side of room which was an obvious indicator to leave it alone.
So, I will conclude this review by simply stating, that after five days we cannot take it anymore and switch to a true five-star hotel that is certified by Google reviews, Facebook reviews, TripAdvisor, and my Centurion AmEx concierge. I am looking forward to my next yelp review as being a positive one. read more
