Jarrett (the host) was on time, friendly and very respectful. We will be using their services again soon. Thank you for making our 1st annual block/tailgating party a success! Ricardo & Amber NOTE: the quality of the picture gets better with the absence of the sun light. However, the 1000 watt surround system worked all day! Enjoy!

We paid an additional $99 early-arrival fee for their team to arrive at 5:30 PM because our movie was scheduled for 8:00 PM and we wanted everything completely set up and tested before families arrived. Their team arrived shortly after 5:30 PM, but setup was not completed until around 6:50 PM, right as families were beginning to arrive. FunFlicks later told us in writing that they allocate approximately an hour and a half for setup and testing for the 26' screen arrangement we rented. That made the situation even more concerning to me because without the early-arrival fee, the normal setup timeframe would not have provided enough time before our scheduled movie. When it was time for the movie to begin, we also experienced technical difficulties and members of our own staff had to become involved in troubleshooting. The movie started late. We hired and paid for a professional, staffed movie service specifically so our team could focus on our students, families, and Community Night--not troubleshoot the movie setup. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. We also had a concerning interaction with one of their technicians later that evening on the school campus. I reported the situation to FunFlicks management. After investigating, they acknowledged in writing that the customer service our team experienced was "unacceptable" and told us corrective measures had been taken. I appreciated that acknowledgment and initially felt they were taking our concerns seriously. Where I became especially disappointed was with the resolution. Our event price was $1,198 before taxes and fees. Despite the multiple issues we experienced, their adjustment to this event was ultimately $99. They also offered 50% off a future event. I explained that we were unsure we would ever use FunFlicks again after this experience, so offering a significant discount only if we gave the company more business didn't feel like a meaningful way to make the current situation right. We ultimately paid the remaining balance. I understand that events don't always go perfectly and technical issues can happen. My concern is the combination of the setup experience, delayed movie, our staff having to assist with troubleshooting, the technician interaction, and then the resolution afterward. For an organization hosting an event for children and families, reliability, professionalism, and how problems are handled matter tremendously. Based on our experience from beginning to end, I would not recommend FunFlicks for an event like ours.

My son and new daughter-in-law were married here on Saturday and it was quite nice. The setup was gorgeous and the food quite good as well. Hi Lorie, Thanks…read morefor your passive aggressive response! I don't care if bugs are in your area in August. Your staff failed to clean properly. It was not only live spiders, it was dead bugs riddled along the walls. Whether the filth was behind the bed or underneath it is semantics and just goes to show you fail to take responsibility for anything. Not only that, but Jamie received 0 hostility from our party months before the wedding. The first time we met Jamie was for our walk through in July and we certainly notified him of our walk through time. He failed to check his emails. If Ben was fired due to unprofessionalism, why did you tell my coordinator that all brides would hire him directly? I'll post that screenshot below. He must not have been that bad if you were willing to reinstate him in future packages. If your package doesn't include a coordinator then don't include it on your website. Simple. Besides all of this, we're also now finding out Jamie scheduled 2 couples to do their food tasting on our wedding day, but told the caterer he only scheduled one. When the second couple arrived, they were given a portion of OUR extra food. You guys never confirmed this with us. So not only were strangers at our wedding, you gave them our food, which according to Jamie, is customary for your venue. We've also been made aware that Jamie's real name is Tim, so for every time we thought we were communicating with you, we communicated with Jamie the ENTIRE time. I did not post a review until now because with the type of business you run, I was concerned if we left a bad review we would not get our security deposit back, as you tried to do to another bride. It's a shame that you have such a beautiful venue, because an owner like you that fails to take accountability ruins it. Hopefully whoever decides to buy it in the future will run it better. If, according to you, the brides happiness is first priority, then you've done an absolutely horrible job at showing it! I'll make sure to respect this in my other reviews as well. Have the day you deserve.
