We asked basic questions about the venue and she seemed to not mind. Once the price of the venue was brought up I asked (being a KLEA member) about the KLEA member discount (knowing there is one). Diana responded very rudely, "what about it?" I ask what the discount was being a member. Diana stated she was only giving a discount to the bride or groom no one else. I asked Diana if she can tell me the discount regardless, she refused. We continued with the tour, at the end of the tour we asked about availability dates. Diana told us, I asked Diana if we can review the contract, she approved. I asked if she could get it, she then stated she didn't see a point but could get it if I'd like. I told her yes please. Diana changed her mind and said she was not going to show us unless we signed it. I explained I just wanted to review it before we signed anything she refused. My sister (bride to be) was too fed up to continue to speak with her and asked to leave. It was very apparent Diana did not like us when we entered the venue, the way she spoke to myself and my family was very rude. It also should not matter if the bride or groom is a member to get a discount. My gift for my sister's wedding is paying for the venue I am a KLEA member, my mother is a KLEA member, my brother in law is a KLEA member. Our family is Law Enforcement in Kern County. It is not only about the discount, the way Diana made my sister feel was very uncalled for. This was my sister's favorite venue however how can she enjoy her wedding when the person in charge of the venue was unpleasant for no reason? Venue is pretty customer service was awful. I would love a response from anyone at this venue.

As an adult I knew I wanted to have my wedding here. The lady who owns this place was very nice. She was accommodating and helpful. We were allowed to set everything up for the reception the day before because as luck would have nobody was renting it that day. The best thing about this place is that you can have both your ceremony and reception here. This really worked for us as we were on somewhat of a tight budget. There is a Roman style stage in the back which is lovely for a ceremony. The Hall itself can hold up to 215 people. We only had 120 and there was ample room. It is equipped with a kitchen and a bar. If you are getting married in Bakersfield I highly recommend checking this place out!

It has a bar and i will say the drinks were good but the pours were watched like an eagle and were small. The wine list was small but decent i just had an issue with the prices for drinks and wine the portions were in my opinion too small. I also would've appreciated my wine to be served in wine glasses instead of a plastic small clear solo cup...The food was catered by Salty's and everything i tried was yummy except the salad. I do want to reiterate that the staff and owners who run the hall are gracious and always had smiles on their faces. If i or someone in my family were in need to rent something for an event i would definitely keep this place in mind and recommend them especially for budget minded people.

Granted it looked like all construction workers because there was nothing else but oversized trucks in their parking lot! My fiancé Googled "clean hotel without bed bugs" and Padre Hotel came up first! Their online reviews were great and we were exhausted and needed to rest! We pulled into their valet parking just to drop off our things. As my fiancé parked the car, across the street in the over night garage, I was able to get a Single King room on a Monday night for $159. As we walked into our room #701, it was rather small, but fine since it was just the two of us. As I sat on the bed, it was actually hard! Yay!!!! I can't STAND soft beds and rather sleep on the floor! Haha no joke! Then my fiancé went into the restroom and suddenly he tapped on something glass sounding as I was turning ing on the tv..... I noticed there was a curtain by the bed, so I pulled it across and lo and behold by the bed was the shower and just a curtain the person from the outside of the shower could open/close as they please..... hee. We also had a mini fridge in the room along with a desk and chair. We had planned on staying one night, but got inside LA, and we figured we'd extend our stay. Upon doing so, we went downstairs the next day and asked if there was a deal if we could stay 3-4 days, and sure enough there was!!!! It's always great to see what happens once you ask! Hee. We got a larger room with a corner room location, I forgot the room number, but the restroom was larger and had a separate wall between the toilet and shower area, so if someone was in the shower, someone else could use the toilet and not be seen. This longer hotel room also had a chaise lounge chair and a better view of their downtown area, granted a lot of the places have closed. Overall, I honestly loved our stay here! It reminded me of a county version of The Fairmont SF! They constantly played new aged country music in the lobby! Then on Fridays and Saturdays there was a live band or singer in the bar area! I love how they had a community aspect to the hotel with some local live entertainment!!! My fiancé also loved watching The Knicks play on the bar tv with other people at the bar! Hee.
