Great little metaphysics shop right down the street from my house! My wife and I had passed this place every day for the past 1.5 years. We finally stopped in, looking for something specific. I found what we needed and it was so decently priced! It was wonderful to walk into a metaphysics store and it not be overpriced! They have a little bit of everything there. Books, crystals, herbs, cards, baths and more. They also have a great altar there to leave an offering, pull a card from a deck etc. The woman working there was really nice. This store is more than just a retail shop. It's truly a gathering space. It's intimate and packed with so many treasures from local artists and makers. Ninth House also uses wall space to display the work of local female artists. It rotates every couple of months. They're located downtown in the the former Bring's Funeral Home building, where Owls Club is located. The entrance is a little tricky to find but they are located on the bottom floor of the building, enter via Scott avenue. I ran into this shop tonight because I wanted to check it out. The staff was super helpful and the energy was amazing. She helped me find everything I need based off of a few simple key phrases about why I was looking. I did a tarot reading, she was so tuned in and her card pull matched me perfectly. At the end she told me I needed to find a book that I either owned already or would find soon with the word silver either in the title or the author, so I went home and picked through my books, found this one fairly easily. This is a lovely shop with a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of items. Since it is smaller, I found it a lot less overwhelming and everything I've gotten has been great quality and reasonably priced. Every time I visit there is something new and different to check out. In addition to the shop itself, the events/classes are really spectacular and worth checking out. I am fairly new to this and always have felt comfortable. So many amazing items and the energy is immaculate in this store! I've brought two people with me here already because I wanted to show off how cool this place is and they loved it as well. The staff are all sweet and helpful and I like how there are events held in the store. I'm looking forward to going to some of the events in the future once I have a bit more time as it seems like a great community. This place is really pretty, smells good, has lots of things you might need for your spiritual journey. The stuff is a little pricy but not too bad compared to some other metaphysical shops. The two cashiers working today had very negative energy. I felt weirdly judged walking into this store. They were having a quiet conversation then they started talking very very loudly about shoplifting and that they have cameras and they hex shoplifters, which is all fine but it was so obvious they wanted my friend and i to hear. i just felt offended that they would just assume we would do something like that. I didn't feel welcomed at all and i put all my purchases back on the shelves because they obviously did not want me to be there. read more

It would be nice if they were ever open. Or at least update their hours online. I have been to this location 3 times over the past year, and each time they have been closed even though their hours online showed that they were open. I LOVE this place!!! I've been to this shop probably over half a dozen times since it opened, and I *really* love it! I've done several of the workshops there - candle making, tarot reading, and an astrology workshop, and I attend Wild Woman Soul Circle there once a month. I'm attending an upcoming herbalism course too, and I *cannot* wait for that one! The classes have all been really great - not too overwhelming or over my head as I'm a beginner in much of these magickal practices. I've also met some really cool and amazing women - all walking their own path with much to share and learn from. II think they are all also taught by local women entrepreneurs and so its pretty amazing to be able to support other women doing their thing through another woman owned shop. The selection of the shop is also great - you can find books, cards, rocks, crystals, t-shirts, local handmade self care products, jewelry, tarot cards. The vibe of the store is also great - super chill and just the kind of place you could hang out and relax for a while. Tucson has needed a space like this for a LONG time, and I'm soooo glad we finally have one. Its not snooty like some places can be when you're newer to this world, its super inclusive, open, and just genuinely warm.
