It's cool because it has a marquis that lights up, and it's surprisingly large (600 seats!), and the bar at the back has comfy stools and even an area with tables where you can sit with friends and watch a movie while having adult beverages. It's dark inside and probably not to every moviegoer's taste, and I haven't tried the popcorn, but I love supporting this local neighborhood business, especially when they're showing something other than comic book and action movies.

However, they have awesome deals, like a kid's snack pack, which comes with a small soda, a small (Halloween sized) packet of candy, and a small popcorn in a personal box that the kiddos can hold on their lap. (It did not stop my youngest from spilling some of his popcorn on the floor, but that's just him being a bit clumsy!) They also have a great deal for a large popcorn and a soda for around $7.50! I make this review as a message to the management of this theatre hoping that it will get their…read moreattention. I grew up going to this little theatre, and the addition of the luxury seating options a few years ago truly leveled it up. I have never had a problem with Kent Plaza; it might've been rough on the outside, but the inside was clean, well staffed and the food was good. In my last few visits, it has been increasingly evident that the place is being neglected. The bathrooms are in dire need of updating and the luxury seating is breaking down (one seat didn't recline and another the back was lose). The ticket counter is never open leading to asinine concession lines, and as minor as it may seem, the screens above the theatres never have what is playing displayed. While all of these things may be small, it speaks to a lack of effort to keep this business alive. As someone who loves this theatre, I beg whoever is managing it to please put a little more effort into the dignity of this theatre. Do not become a theatre or business that just puts the bare minimum amount of effort into keeping it afloat. I recommend bringing back birthday parties as they're a great way to draw in customers and make a little bit of money.
