Great time renting a theater for a private rental. The service was good. The theater was a tad dirty, but otherwise everything was great

Went to Hickory Ridge to see The Rise of Skywalker. This small Brunswick theater is found in a plaza off of 42 and is worth the trip! Night time tickets of $8, alcohol served for the weekend release of Star Wars, festive entrance and friendly employees all make the experience worthwhile. The concessions are REASONABLY PRICED! We purchased a medium popcorn and two medium drinks for $8; candy was $3. The sound is fair, picture is rather small for a theater but neither are poor enough to hinder the film. My seat was filthy, however... maybe that should be expected from a cheap theater in a plaza? This prevented a 4 star rating.

The refreshments (popcorn, soda, snacks, etc.) are cheaper than the large cinema chains and the seating has good legroom.

WOW!!! Surrreal how amazing the experience is. Okay... so, you're thinking, if that's the Bad, how good can the good be?! Amazing prices; easily several dollars cheaper than the closest AMC per seat. Food and drink prices are comparable. The theater is always immaculately clean and the staff is beyond friendly. My complaints are small but I do not know how managable they would be to fix. I've gone a few times and had my seat either not work properly/at all or the seat would either not heat up or not turn off lol. Not a huge complaint on that one... this is purely a maintenance issue on just a few seats. Regarding the seats, when theey are all the way reclined back, the liftable arm between seats does not match the recline, making cross-seat snuggling during the movie uncomfortable. And lastly, the consessions offer more limited options than other theaters which, in and of itself is not as big an issue for myself as my kids, but I try to minimize consession purchase anyway; but the drink/butter station is way too small for convenience on a busy weekend night. Two soda fountains, one slurpee fountain, and two butter stations all in a 20 ft L shaped counter space leads to unwelcome bumping and nudging. Now, please do not read this as a bad review because I do not think it is.... still a 4/5 and I plan to return many times, especially for The Odyssey in July on 70mm... bring it on!!

The bathrooms have a strong urine smell that hits you before you even walk into the bathroom. They don't have a line dedicated to just selling tickets, so you have to stand in a line with people ordering a ton of concessions just to buy your ticket. I know they have those computers you can order from but every time we've tried we had no luck with getting them to work. And why do we have to choose our seats when the theater is nearly totally empty? Concessions cost a small fortune, so we always pass on them. And nearly a 1/2 hour of commercials and pre-views, show never starts at the time listed because of it.

The seats were especially uncomfortable, which made it hard to enjoy the movie. The concessions were another letdown. The popcorn was cold and had almost no flavor, which is surprising for a movie theater where popcorn is supposed to be one of the highlights. The one bright spot was the staff. The young employees were friendly, polite, and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. They provided great customer service, and they deserve credit for that. Unfortunately, the nice employees weren't enough to make up for the overall condition of the theater. I won't be returning. If SouthPark is sold out, I'd rather make the drive to Hickory Ridge than come back here.

This time we saw The Mummy (2026) and They Will Kill You. With two screens, they usually offer a family-friendly lineup on one and thriller, horror, or action films on the other, so there's something for everyone. At $12 per adult for two movies, it's a great value. The concession stand has a solid variety, including made-to-order family-size pizza, bratwurst, mozzarella sticks, candy, and more. Audio is played through a designated radio station, so you can listen from your car. We usually bring a portable radio, but you can also rent one from the concession stand if needed. The Aut-O-Rama is clean, well-maintained, and even the restrooms are kept up nicely. It's tucked between the Ohio Turnpike and the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks on Lorain Road in North Ridgeville, which adds a bit of character to the experience. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a true North Ridgeville classic and one we'll keep coming back to.

With regards to bedtime, I decided to get there right as they opened at 7pm. My son was extremely excited to go in a real real haunted house, as in the past he's only done more kid-friendly ones. Neither of us were disappointed! Both of us are kind of "laughers," rather than "screamers," but I found that I was creeped out or startled to the point of jumping several times! We went through the saloon first. I was pleased with how long it was, and also glad that I got there early, so we weren't stuck with a huge group of people, as often happens at haunted houses, I've found. Now, I'm more of the type of person who appreciates really "creepy" scenes, rather than those that are loaded with a huge amount of blood and guts. So for me, this was great! I loved walking through various rooms in the saloon, and taking in the decor. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of actors to jump out and scare you, along with features like puffs of air in your face as you walked by certain areas, which I thought was fun. There was also a cool animatronic feature that scared my son so much that he literally took off running out of one of the rooms! There is a section at the end that, if I were claustrophobic, I think might have put me over the edge, so be warned! My son was a champ throughout, though. I'd say it was successful, since at the end, he said, "I never want to go through that again!" The "Extreme Nightmares" was on par with the first house, just with a different theme. I enjoyed the actor that "welcomes" you into the house with his live rat and snake. I enjoyed petting the rat and the snake, although the snake was a little creepy, since I'm not much of a fan. That is the point, after all, though, right? To be scared or creeped out? Again, I jumped several times, and was again glad I got there early so that I could enjoy the scenes without a bunch of other people breathing down my back. Again, there were lots of actors, and I appreciated that in some cases, rather than just jumping out to scare you, they interacted with you. The 3D house isn't quite as scary as the other two, in my opinion, unless you aren't a fan of clowns. The 3D glasses and paint really were a neat effect, and more fun to look at (like a fun house) than scary. Still totally worth it, and I think it's good for something different. This was my son's favorite of the three houses, probably because it wasn't as traditionally scary. He was weird about wanting to wear the 3D glasses in the beginning, so he didn't want to grab a pair. A little ways in, though, I gave him mine, and I loved hearing his repeated "Whoas!" and "That's cools!" as he looked at the 3D effects. Perhaps surprisingly, the hayride did not disappoint either. After walking through the 3 houses, it was a nice break, and it felt good to just sit down and enjoy the ride. My favorite features of the hayride were a fire feature that you encounter during the ride, as well as the barn at the end, with a really creepy animatronic dragon that comes out and kind of "dances" over the hay wagon. There was another little boy about my son's age on the wagon, who was so terrified that he curled up into a ball and actually started clinging to random strangers to protect him. That was fun to watch, especially with my son trying to tell him, "Dude! It;'s not real!" Lol. The kid was okay in the end and stood up all proud and macho, pretending he wasn't scared at all. Oh... I almost forgot about the water feature! Keep your eyes peeled and pay attention, or you might get nailed like I did with a stream of water. I'm glad it was warm last night. We had a great time, and I'll definitely be heading back next year! I may even go again this year and take my son to the more kid-friendly daytime event so he can do another hayride, paint a pumpkin, and see some farm animals!
