I almost went under the water with my baby . Also a baby in the class threw up in the pool and not much was done so we left the class early because I didn't feel like it was sanitary that they had us stay in the pool. Also they give the tiny babies little toys and they were chewing on the toys and then they wanted us to have the babies swap toys which I didn't think was sanitary. We didn't feel like there was much instruction or help at all I never really even spoke to the instructor the two classes we did take because she was so busy . It's also in the backyard of Someones house. No signs to point you where to go .We decided to just not attended the last two classes and just take a loss as far as the money we spent.

My daughter had dozens of lessons in Seattle and it was all play and not many skills came out of it. My son did 2 sessions which consists of lessons 5 days a week for half an hour. After 4 weeks he is confident in the water. Skills he's learned are nose bubbles, water bobbing, getting out of the water without steps, and floating. My daughter did one session with Hannah and she has gained so much confidence! She can swim on her own! It's been great to see her progress. She now understands how to breath underwater, dive, and can swim a lap in the deep end! Lessons are held outside at a private residence. The pool is kept clean. There is no overpowering chlorine smell which is nice. There is plenty of seating for parents. There is a restroom accessible for kids/parents that is connected to the house but accessible from outside. They offer mommy and me, preschool, core, and swim team classes. The description of each class is listed on their website and is accurate. Group, semi private, and private lessons.They do have multiple classes at the same time but at no time did I feel like another class was distracting from what my kids were learning. Class sizes are kept small. My son did group and semi private and they were equally great. The prices are very reasonable. Its truly priceless to see your child learning water safety and how to properly swim. I highly recommend!

Sarah was an absolute asset to my birth experience. This pregnancy was as a surrogate, which…read morerequired me to give birth in a hospital, so I knew I needed a coach and an advocate. My first and only other birth of my daughter, was attended by 2 midwives at home and was the best day of my life. So, I hired Sarah and Charli for their doula services and was comfortable with either attending, just happy I knew them and they understood me and my birth plan. Sarah showed up at our house right when the contractions kicked in. She guided me through them and made the call when it was time to walk to Providence Hospital. Along with my husband riding our cargo bucket bike and 9-year old daughter walking with me, we walked the 1/2 mile to the hospital, stopping every minute or two for me to lean against her and have a contraction. She provided me with shelter and guidance. When we got to the hospital, I was taken up to the birth center and learned I was 5 cm dilated and felt a sense of accomplishment. The final 5 occurred over 3 hours between the tub and the yoga ball in the bathroom. Sarah was my crutch during the hardest ones. My family doctor, who knew my birth plan well, showed up and they, along with the nurses, worked together to let me know it was time to get on the bed and push. I squatted in reverse on the bed, holding tight to the railings. With every push, I could feel baby Penelope make her way through the birth canal, with intense pressure. I asked Sarah to guide me through the ring of fire so I wouldn't tear. We took it slow, allowing the head to crown, stop, head halfway out and back in, stop, head out, stop, shoulder out, stop, arm out, stop and then her body fell gracefully to the bed between my legs. I scooped her up, the nurses helped me untangle from the cord so I could turn around and sit with her. They toweled Penelope off, I scooted over and her new mama came over crying and sat next to me and I got to hand over the most beautiful thing in the world to the person who had wanted her most. I looked up at the room and everyone was smiling and taking in the moment, including Sarah. This was the most magical day of my life. I can't recommend her and Charli enough. Having a doula or midwife is a serious luxury in giving birth and I also attribute my fast recovery (casually walking and biking within a week) to them. I needed no epidural, emergency treatments or stitches.

I had visions of stepping on women's feet and just being overall embarrassing. Kind of like the pudgy kid in dodgeball that always gets picked last. On the first night I considered taking a shot of tequila. Or just bailing on the whole thing.. I ended up going, and skipping the shot. I figured perhaps stepping out of my comfort zone would be good, and I could always stop going next week. So, I went to bachata class. And actually leaned the basic moves. And everyone was friendly! I even came back for more.. And signed up for another class :) The environment is clean and professional, the instructors are great and everyone gets individual attention. All the other people in the class were super friendly - males, females, experienced, and newbies. The lessons are very affordable. I also found that by practicing the basic bachata moves I leaned here, I was able to seriously improve my other dance moves in the club.. Hiphop, cumbia, etc. The class is great, the other students are great, and it built a good amount of confidence to actually figure some moves out. Cant recommend it enough, Id take more than one class at a time if only there were more hours in the day.

The owners, Dana and Christian, care passionately about latin dance, teaching, running a respectable and quality school, providing a service to the community, and advancing the knowledge and skill level of their students. I am so happy I am a small part of this outstanding school. SCR offers regular classes, specialty workshops taught by D&C, specialty workshops taught by guest teachers from Yakima and Spokane, Zumba, and they host 4 dance parties a year at their studio (sanz alcohol) and they coordinate carpools to Yakima when there are special dance parties such as live bands or cool DJs, usually at The Seasons. The studio is available to rent for practice and for dance-related parties. Inside the school is a shop. The majority of the shop is dance shoes like Capezio and other brands I can't remember. There is a very tiny amount of dance attire -- think performance and competition dresses. Also, D&C used to go to Islands Casino on Saturday nights and made themselves available for questions, review and critique. Now, I believe they are starting a new shindig at Richland Red Lion with a live band and DJ alternating on Friday nights. If I am wrong about this, I will update. :-) All of the classes, workshops, and parties are priced individually; Some are part of the regular calendar, and others are offered short-term only. D&C keep it fresh and fun! The standard salsa class is LA Salsa On1 (we take this class) and the newest salsa class is Beginning Cuban Salsa. We took a specialty workshop in Bachata and that was a big hit! Over 30 people packed the studio and we had a ball and worked hard. They started a new performance class and I really want to join that one! D&C fill their schedules with amazing offerings and are incredibly knowledgable. I will say that Dana tends to be more serious while Christian keeps us laughing and they both remind the guys and girls separately of what our jobs are in the dance partnership. They make a team, and I always learn from both of them. Come join us and dance with us! Learn a new style, advance a style you already know, and make new friends. :-)

I was interested in trying out for synergy's hip hop competition team so I had called their office…read moreand left many messages asking when the auditions were and what time, after leaving many messages with no reply I decided to call again. Finally I got someone on the phone, not only was this lady extremely rude she didn't even know what she was talking about. When asking questions about what time auditions were and how much everything cost she got an attitude with me and handed over the phone to the owner and in the background you could hear her talking and saying "hear this girl wants to know prices and times and I don't have time to talk to her." that was a bit of a shock to hear. Once I auditioned and paid $30 for 30 minutes which is way overpriced I was told I would get an email on the following Monday letting me know if I made the team or not. As Monday rolled around there was still no email. Tuesday I get a phone call from that same rude receptionist lady saying she just got my message from a WEEK ago asking when auditions were, I had told her I already tried out and her response was "oh that's probably not going to happen for you this year" which was a really rude way to put it. After that she kept on talking about the studio and kept calling me the wrong name after I corrected her 6 times. She had said that I had never danced before and I told her I have had a dance background she suggested "beginner" classes because once again she didn't listen when I told her I had danced before. This is no way to run a business and I would not recommend this studio. All they do is take your money and are rude. Not to mention they don't even do real tryouts. They teach you a dance and say ok we'll email you but they never do. Their just trying to make some money.
