I sat for a while reading books about psychology and medicine, but I saw a ton of cookbooks, advice books, various fiction genres, and so on. At the front, they have a more rare books for a higher price. Staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I entered the door, but did not bother me while I was walking around. They were out of the way but ready to assist when needed. It seemed like they had a few common customers as they were on a first name basis with several people who walked in the store! My only regret is not coming here sooner.

The sales clerk said exactly and kindly, "Hi, how are you?" My response was well and yourself? She responded, "Good, just letting you know we close in 10 minutes, but please feel free to look around." I did not find this rude at all. Afterward, Mr. Victor and his family came in. The sales clerk said the same thing, kindly, and his wife seemed to not have an issue with this, seeing as she responded "Okay, thank you," with a smile. After that, Mr. Victor's response was, "That's a pleasant way to greet us, I'm not spending a dime in this store." and he stormed out of the store. His family remained to browse and apologized to the sales clerk for how rude their father/husband was when she was so friendly and did not do anything wrong. I worked in retail many years ago, and for one know you cannot simply lock a door to close. You have to count change, restock, clean, etc. You're not able to do this with customers still browsing. I've been coming to DeeGee's since it was across the street at Ruddy Duck's. They have an excellent selection of books and gifts. I have ALWAYS found the staff so friendly and helpful.
