I also love the atmosphere of the office. From the moment you walk in, it feels warm, cozy, welcoming, and almost family like. On my first visit with Deana I was talked to like I was some abusive father that had no business trying to work some things through with her. I feel Deana got too close to my daughter and overprotective not allowing my side of the story to be heard or my feelings be considered. There were some dishonest things said that Deana believed from my daughter and I was never given the opportunity to give my side of things or to try and make things right...in fact it made things more difficult. Deana was required to ask her boss for advice and I was never truly heard. I was truly disappointed in this and today have some frustrations regarding the way Maple handled my situation. It's always best to hear both perspectives before making a judgment call and they didn't. I would hate for this to happen to another father trying to do the right thing as this wound has yet heal.

I had barely started when they changed my meds which made my depression drastically worse. I tried to kill myself and was admitted to a hospital. When I told them this they kicked me out of the program. Scotty stayed in touch and said he wanted to help me get back but then never ever got back to me. I cannot imagine abandoning someone for struggling with the very thing they are trying to get help for. They were judgmental and seriously made me lose faith in getting support. EDIT: fun note with a bit of research, banyan is well known as a rehab center that takes on patients they are in no way prepared to help and often actively make their lives worse. also the woman I talked to from channel islands used the word "clients" instead of "patients." while this is a minor detail, it is not one that inspires confidence of any sort.
