I recently had my safe fail on me. It wouldn't open, no matter what I tired. I called every…read morelocksmith in my area, and the surrounding areas (that were willing to travel to the middle of the desert lol). They either suggested Greg Perry, or they said they didn't work on safes. So I called him, and set up an appointment. He was here the next day, and gave me a very charitable quote on the opening and repair of my safe. Once he was able to get his scope into the safe and take a look. It had much bigger issues than anticipated. Something to do with the cogs in the locking mechanism that moves the bars. It had broken, making it nearly impossible for repair. His 1 hour job, turned into 3 days. He had to take the 800lbs+ safe to his shop for repair. A few days later, he called me and requested I open the safe and remove the items so that he could continue the repair. He did not so much as even look into the contents of the safe before continuing. I appreciate a man that respects me and my privacy. I did as he asked, and removed my stuff. To which he gave me privacy in his shop to do so. Everything was accounted for, and nothing seemed to be touched at all. The next day he called me to inform me he would be delivering it back to my home! When I got the bill, I expected a price that would give me a heart attack. I mean come on, the man worked on it for 5 days, removed the heavy thing, and returned it to me. To my surprise, the quote was exactly what he originally quoted me. A man true to his word. I couldn't stand to let a man with that kind of integrity, not be paid what he deserved. So I asked "if you were to come across this safe with this issue again, would you charge the same amount?" his response was a chuckle and a strong "no, it would be about 3x that amount, but I stand on my quotes." So I tipped him the remaining amount for the work he completed, and the money he deserved. I will use Greg or his son in law (apprentice) for ANY locksmithing needs in the future. By far the best locksmiths in town, or anywhere in my opinion. Thank you so much Greg, and Dakota!
