This nail spot is conveniently located less than 10min from home. I have been here 3 times and have had all good experiences. I usually get gel pedicures here but this time treated myself to a jelly pedicure which included sugar scrub, deep clean with callus treatment, mask, parrafin wax, foot massage with hot stones and a jelly bath. Came in on July 9, 2025 for a mani and pedi. I was greeted and immediately seated. The nail tech was quite until I made conversation with her which is fine but as a business everyone should be greeted before rendering a service.... My true complaint is my gel nails startes peeling a couple days later and I noticed the side of my right thumb nail wasn't painted correctly. So I normally go the one in Arlington but my girl was booked up for a week so I went here. No reservations made me nervous but I did take a chance with that walk on. Was assigned "Theo" I believe is who they said we sat at the first desk on the far right and name on the window said "thi" but not sure if that's his name or someone else's/ anyways. We were r back and forth on my design bc I had idea variations and my man was honest with his thoughts but also I can tell some people have had him paint nails and not try to pay for it when it was their idea bc he clearly was concerned withe trying to maybe not pay when he was done if I didn't like it. I had to remind him sir- I came here with this in mind in these colors, ima be good. Anyway be crushed the shape very well. I love a sharp stiletto and that be did. He was very quick with the polish job which I adored as well. I love his pace. We did a freestyle design that he liked bc honestly I didn't care and I'm super happy. I rode past this place plenty of times and always saw it was doing good business. I believe the price was a little mote than what I would spend at other nice shops such as this. ** I also didn't like the fact that after 2-3 days later my nails were already lifting, looking like I need a fill in and I just got a full set! ** ***My Eyebrows: I am not sure of the lady name that did my eyebrows, but she barely arched my brows. I had brow setting and powder already on my brows and she never cleaned them off, she just started to arch around my brows... weird.. I never had that done. Hence why my brows looked barely touched. And they wanted me to pay $12 for barely Touched brows. Smh... it was my birthday and I didn't want to make a big deal so I just paid the price and got them re done somewhere else the next day.... Parking lot super small and congested. Got here between 1:45pm. Serviced minutes after telling the guy at the front what I wanted done. DK was my nail tech. He was friendly and asking appropriate probing question to ensure he gave me exactly what I requested. I got acrylic take off $10, fullset $45, shape $10, length $5, French tip $10. When he quoted me $80 of course I asked for a breakdown cause I was like damn what am I getting done. Again I just started getting my nails done consistently last year prior I would get them done for special occasions like birthday, work gala, weddings, trips so stick with me. Nonetheless I highly recommend DK. They don't accept appointments but you can request who u like but that may require you to wait depending on who is head of you. Love the convenience. My nail tech didn't seem very attentive and she was just trying to get it over with. I noticed some of my nails were slanted and she seemed irritated that I asked her to fix it. I think I'm just used to a different quality of nail techs. Long story short; I got my nails done on July 9. I had to return the 11 because 4 nails cracked. They were fixed-- with what felt like a bit of an attitude because I expected them to fix it for free. I spent $105 dollars between a very good pedi and a below average full set. I asked for SNS, but I was told it could only be color acrylic for my design...never had that issue before at other shops, but sure. Still don't understand the difference between SNS and color acrylic; but cool. My biggest issue is that after my nails were fixed...the same ones STILL cracked. Like...how and why? I struggled with writing this review...figuratively because I don't want to 'be mean' but literally because I have bandaids on my fingers because it cracked all the way thru and broke my nails so badly that I bled, and now that they've healed I have to go get them soaked off today. I'm sure there are good nail techs in the shop; I just didn't experience them. A tech in the back did my nails, and a tech in the front fixed them. I know you know what that means.... I was charged $67 for a color change and airbrush on short natural nails. They said upcharge was for chrome nail polish. This did not include a manicure, only a color change. Within 24 hours all the nail polish began to chip off. When I tried to call regarding my nails the woman on the phone hung up on me. I tried calling back and they refused to pick up. When I went in the nail shop I was ignored and they refused to assist me. I also asked for the name of the manager who hung up and again they refused to give me any information. I had the worst nail experience save yourself the trip & Go elsewhere! I came in for a fill in and a pedicure simple & easy firstly i was not greeted at all. I started to get my pedicure and the shape was off so she somewhat corrected it but when that nail polish came on it looked a HOT MESS lumpy and all. I had her take them off and she gave up on my nails and had someone take her place. Which took 15-20 minutes of waiting. $40 for a 20 minute pedicure ... I don't think so. I stopped in on a Friday afternoon in desperate need of a good pedicure. So I asked for the deluxe which is $40 and included a callus remover mask and massage. My feet were in the actual water for 5 minutes she unevenly cut my toenails and then used the scrubber. After 10 minutes of work ... yes 10 minutes she was grabbing for the paper slippers. I asked her if she was finished I pointed out that my nails weren't even, and there was no callus remover. And my heels were still rough. She said I'm not finished she then almost burned me with hot towels. When she got ready to polish. I said to her, you cannot actually be done. She said I am and was going to polish. I asked for the manager . He was apologetic and sent a new tech over. I came for some relaxation and a quality pedicure I'm not sure what the first girl thought she was doing but she clearly didn't do a good job because the other woman came and finished and found lots to do (I said desperate need ). This place has consistently done a great job on my finger nails. I always get SNS/Dip and my nails have never been healthier! But, I've been twice for a pedicure and that's enough to tell me Never to trust their other techs with my toes. The most recent visit, the tech cut the skin of my big toe and laughed it off say he was going too fast. When I asked the manager for a discount due to the mishap - she said, "we don't do discounts. Went here for the 1st time today for a mani/pedi. It is nice and clean inside. They use the plastic bowl covers in the pedicure bowls and have the dividers up to separate you from your manicurist at the tables. Everyone had on masks. After sitting at the pedicure bowl, they offered me a water, ginger ale or coke. You do not pick your toe color off of the wall, instead she asked me what color I wanted. I already knew so I'm not sure what happens if you want to look at color options. I received a SNS manicure for $40 and an spa pedicure for $35. Everyone was friendly. They have several SNS and gel options. The only complaint I had was the options they showed me for the SNS colors (the painted nails) were not even half the amount of SNS colors they had up on the wall. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced!!! I never write bad reviews (especially this long) but this needs to be said! I stumbled upon this nail salon around the grand opening and have been going ever since. They were good at first but the customer service has really fell off and the staff isn't friendly, especially the manager! I have been going to the same nail tech- Lee, from the beginning too. I never do too much with the designs (mostly frenchies) but they never have a natural (pink/white) base coat for any type of French style and he always says it's powder when i show him a pic (I get gel acrylic overlay). So i can rarely get what i want and since you can't make appointments it's usually a wait. Despite that, I continued to go because Lee did a good job otherwise. Until yesterday, I just wanted to try to get a French again but with a color besides white and was unsatisfied due to the terrible nude base coat used. So Lee offered to take off the polish and just do a solid color, which i agreed to (didn't really have much of a choice). Immediately after he finished, the rude nail salon manager (V) spoke up for him and said he doesn't want to do my nails anymore smh. Even though, i felt that was wrong as a loyal customer, I just said that's fine. She proceeded to go on and continue to be rude and try to go back and forth with me being nasty. They clearly just don't know how to treat loyal customers (I have seen similar complaints). So now I have to find a new nail salon because the manager made me uncomfortable and make comments as if she didn't want me to come back. I'm spending my money so I should be able to let the nail tech know how i would like my nails to be done and be able to express if they do a job that's not what i wanted/asked for, without being treated so rudely. Especially, since they don't have basic base coats that complement Frenchie colors. Kim does do a good job on my pedicures so it's a shame can't get them anymore. Yesterday I went to Nail Bar all the way from Catholic University area of D.C. to get a pedicure and this time a regular manicure. I typically get dip powder but my nails were starting to become sensitive and thin from constantly having the dip on them, so I needed to let my nails breathe. I knew that my regular manicure wouldn't last but I didn't expect a chunk of my polish to fall off the same day. Mind you, I like to protect my nails, I even wash dishes with gloves even with dip on my nails, so I'm mindful of how I use my hands. I called in to see if the manager would accommodate me in some manner since I'm a returning customer and all she kept saying was "We don't guarantee regular manicures". I told her that I understand this, but the nail tech didn't wrap my nails and he had to thin the polish while I was in the chair. Most places would ask you to come in so they can fix it, but no she tried to deflect the nail polish chipping on me. Unless she tries to rectify this, I won't be returning.
