First of all, the positives: - The staff at the front was…read morevery friendly - It's easy to get an appointment - The complimentary Malibu Barbie drink was very tasty - The shop is very clean The negatives: - The reason it's easy to get an appointment (at least on Sunday when we went) is because they only take walk-ins on Sundays - The old fashioned was very over poured - The system for marking what you want is so bad that the staff doesn't even want to use it so they just have you put in the first item and then they edit the ticket on the back end - I got a detox pedicure (Or at least that's what I wanted and asked for) and my wife got a gloss signature pedicure with gel and a French tip manicure with gel - Both of us got manhandled pretty significantly during our pedicures - The product wasn't adequately rinsed off - They cut my wife's cuticles and left her fingers bloody - There's barely any tip to the French tip - Nails were left at uneven lengths - The polish application wasn't even or neat - At checkout, the customer facing screen has the resolution so far off that you can't see what is being itemized - My wife asked for a gel manicure with an overlay. They had no idea how to do that. They asked if she wanted acrylics or gel. This is a service other places offer and they should know what this is - The polish is already chipping within a matter of hours - The guy who did my wife's nails seemed put out and gave a sigh of annoyance because she wanted her French tips to match her toes instead of just plain white tips.

I had a 3:45pm appointment and was not assisted until almost an hour later. There was no compensation offered and not even an acknowledgment until at least 30 minutes after I arrived. If appointments are not going to be adhered to, then why have them? It should not matter if you're busy, that should not overstep an appointment. This was the second time I experienced this, as my last appointment was the same and when I checked out, the gentleman did not want to give me the $5 gift card I earned, on an email promo. Once I was finished, I went to pay. I had a $5 gift card from my last appointment, which I received from a discount text, that I had to prove I received, for $50 plus, services. I also received another text for a $5 discount if I received services of $50 plus. The guy that checked me out (same gentleman as before; I am assuming one of the managers) stated I could not use 2 discounts, I explained I only wanted the $5 card for my next visit, especially due to the almost hour wait and I still spent $100. He said he would not. At that very moment, I decided I would no longer patronize Milano Nail Salon in Germantown. When you consistently spend over $100 on nail services, IX monthly, there should be some consideration when appointments are not kept by the staff. My nail tech was very careful with my feet and took her time to get my nails and cuticles trimmed well, and calluses removed. She gave me a relaxing leg massage and then applied polish with care. I had not gone for a pedi in months because the last two times at other salons the techs cut my cuticles and drew blood. Also the polish is usually so poorly applied that I'm better off doing it myself. I'm always a little wary as those experiences are frustrating and pedis are not cheap. But today I was very happy to have had a calm and relaxing experience! My polish looks good and I am very satisfied! Great experience and I am so glad I went to Blossom Nail Spa! I tipped approximately 27% because it was well worth it. :)

I called about a 1/2 hour before heading in and they had an opening, yay! The massages are given in one open area and are done while you remain fully clothed. I choose the hour long foot massage which actually treats most of the body but just gives lots of special attention to the feet, ahhhh! When it was my turn I was directed to a comfy chair that looks like a traditional recliner only its flat on the floor. A large bucket of tea was brought out to soak my feet in while my face, scalp, neck, shoulders and arms were massaged - be warned the tea is HOT! After 15 minutes my feet were removed from the tea, dried and massaged for a blissful 30 minutes. After this I was directed to flip over, the chair was fully reclined and my back was massaged. When it was all over I felt amazing and only spent $39, plus tip. The foot massage itself was incredibly soothing but the other parts not so much, this is not a complaint on my end though. The other body parts focused more of on pressure point / deep tissue massage. There was very little interaction between me and my therapist yet he was able to find my knots and work them out, this was at times uncomfortable but that's what a good massage is all about. I love the fact that besides people coming or going it was very quiet during the massage. This place is efficient, affordable and will have you walking out feeling better than when you walked in!
