    Too funny
    Malikah U.

I really enjoyed this place. I'm used to comedy shows, but I came here understanding that it isn't your ordinary comedy show. It's Improv. I really enjoyed not knowing what was going to happen next. They ask the audience for topics and use those topics to do their acting. Some people were funnier than others, but we still laughed a lot. I can see how reviews will vary. It isn't rehearsed, so some nights might be funnier than others. Overall, the hour was too short. The price was reasonable. This place isn't for kids because they choose some topics that are not appropriate for everyone (which is great). Parking isn't really good in that area, so if you're driving to, give yourself some extra time to find parking.

Improv can be tough but even if these folks fell flat on a skit, they were able to pop right back up with ease.

I arrived 30 minutes before show start and the Will Call line moved rather quickly. The line to get into the showroom was longer than Will Call. I purchased reserved seating and once I got inside, one of the attendants walked us to our seats. There's a two item minimum per person in the showroom, but it doesn't matter what you buy. The waiters walk around periodically to ask what you'd like to order and bring your check closer to the end of the show. We went to see Vinny Guadagnino and he was hilarious. His two openers were awesome as well. There's a parking garage right next door and also a good amount of metered street parking nearby, too.

I read a couple of other reviews noting that service was chaotic and that was certainly my experience. After we were seated, it took a while for the waitress to come by. The table next to us told us that they had been waiting 45 minutes for the waitress take their order. It seems like we were placed in an area that was forgotten by the staff. Anyway after we placed our order and got our food & drinks, we never saw our waitress again. She came by at the end to give us the bill but didn't check on us for the entire show. We didn't even get a chance to order our second drink as part of the 2 drink minimum since she never gave us the opportunity lol thankfully there was no fee! For food we split the chicken tenders and fries ($24). Pretty expensive but surprisingly a decent portion with 6 chicken strips. Not to the fault of the venue but there was an incredibly rude and disruptive group behind us which was distracting to the show and really took away from the experience. It was disappointing that staff didn't do anything to intervene and tell her to be quiet. She was talking the whole time and her phone rang twice during the show!! Overall I'd probably come back for another show and mostly enjoyed my time. But at the same time I'm wary after the semi chaotic experience

I haven't laughed so much that my cheeks hurt. What great performance. Drinks were delicious and we ordered the loaded French fries. They were delicious.

It's now been a few years of attending shows and the theatre has become one of my favorite Philly memories. The amount of laughs from the show will always vary a bit (that's improv baby!!) but what you will always is a great vibe and fun show. The theater space itself is easy to navigate and find a seat for you and your group. I'd say ideally get there 5-10 mins early and you'll have plenty of time to settle in. As others have highlighted it's BYOB which is amazing. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the neighborhood too, so I'd recommend seeing a show, having a few drinks and then going out afterwards. I just saw the "Detective Improv" show which is one of the best I've seen at the theater.

Obviously they need more staff in that regard because once she gets you a drink, theres a strong chance you'll never see her again. Minus one star for that but didn't bother me much since I have legs and can walk to the bar 10 feet away, but I can see how it could bug people. I would go back. Cool little joint.

GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls.
