The interior is clean and newly refurbished and the welcome is warm and friendly. At this time the Robin Hood is offering food of a high standard on a 'two main meals for £10' offer. There is a good selection and the meal is lovely, service with a smile too. They normally serve from 12.00 to 7pm or 8pm so you could have midday meal or evening meal. Well, if there is any, I couldn't find a staircase to access it!! For such a large bar there doesn't seem to be that many tables. Most of the clientele appeared to be enjoying the keenly priced drinks, not that many people were eating. Downsides: I did have to wait a long time to be served at the bar, and they had run out of fish!! I'm unlikely to rush back, but it's not a bad option for a reliable meal when in the Leigh area.

I was extremely impressed by the feel of the place. The restaurant side looks to be very well attended with some amazing meals on the menu. I didn't know you could get chinese-style enchiladas! Unfortunately we were too late to get food and had more important matters in mind. The beers were very good; a superb choice of hand-pulled real ales, competently served and well-kept. At £2.70 a pint, they were a bargain these days unless you happen to have an in-house brewery. Next time I have a night off, we will have a trip there to sample the ffod as well as the beer.

Last night, we stopped there for a few drinks (only a half for me as the driver!) and were absolutely stunned. The selection of real ales is impressive and very well-kept and served. The landlord is extremely welcoming, pleasant and knowledgeable, but the pub itself.. Well, to say it is amazing is to do the landlord an injustice. As can be seen by the photos, the pub has an incredible amount of memorabilia; seemingly, most from the war years (no, I won't specify which wars!) but also an eclectic collection of anything that interests anybody. There are musical instruments throughout the rooms, a plethora of cameras of all eras, uniforms from forces, services and old schoolsI could go on all day. They have a lovely little room for small parties functions etc and the landlord puts on a lovely buffet at very reasonable prices, I think it is big enough for a party of about 50 but there is room in the other part of the pub if you like to mingle. For the smokers they have kindly build a lovely little gazebo type conservatory on the side with a few tables and chairs nicely set out.
