To be honest I was not expecting much in terms of the steak for that price but I was pleasantly proven wrong. It arrived in a large salald bowl cooked to perfection. The salad was not imaginative filled with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and lettuce and it was a challenged trying to cut steak in a fish bowl but it was really good value for money.. My mushrooms were okay but i used thick peppercorn sauce to dip the steak in. Overall a nice friendly pub which I am glad to see doing okay after these few months .

The service was superb despite being inundated with "strangers" on a usually very quiet Monday night. We have now had a return visit along with my youngest son, his wife and two daughters (3 and 4 yrs old). We were welcomed and extremely well looked after, despite there being a 90th Birthday celebration in progress already. The meals we had were nothing short of excellent and we chatted with the cook afterwards about how much nicer hand-made chips are than any alternative. All of the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Although we had the advantage of Coach House Brewery giving us a talk and tasting session, it appears that the pub always has a good selection of real ales on handpull, including many of Coach House's products. All the usual keg beers seemed to be available for those who prefer them and a fair selection of spirits and wines. The pub serves food between mid-day (12.00) and 5pm and we intend to return sometime soon to sample the menu, which offers a few basic, wholesome meals. There is a fine car park and, best for us, the bus stop is right outside! Bents customers would do well to cross the road and sample the delights of a good pub, provided they haven't already spent up!

The interior is clean and newly refurbished and the welcome is warm and friendly. At this time the Robin Hood is offering food of a high standard on a 'two main meals for £10' offer. There is a good selection and the meal is lovely, service with a smile too. They normally serve from 12.00 to 7pm or 8pm so you could have midday meal or evening meal. Outside is a well managed beer garden which is fenced off and peaceful. I would highly recommend this place and hope you enjoy it as much as I have if you decide to give it a try.

Unfortunately we were too late to get food and had more important matters in mind. The beers were very good; a superb choice of hand-pulled real ales, competently served and well-kept. At £2.70 a pint, they were a bargain these days unless you happen to have an in-house brewery. Next time I have a night off, we will have a trip there to sample the ffod as well as the beer.

The prices range from £6.50 (light bite) to £16.00 (steak) for main meals and I believe we got our money's worth for ours. I would definitely recommend this pub for a meal or just for a drink. This was a local CAMRA meeting, so we were fairly confident of finding decent real ale. The pub has obviously had a major refurbishment recently, resulting in a magnificent community pub- almost large enough to be a community itself! The bar and restaurant areas are welcoming and uncluttered. There is a large conservatory-type extension at the back for functions, plus a wonderful function room which gives all the feelings of a medieval banquet hall! The outside areas comprise a more than ample car park, a beer garden which could seat forty plus and a superb children's playground area. All areas were extremely clean and well-looked-after the toilets being small but very modern and hygienic. All staff encountered seemed to be interested in serving and knowledgeable about their wares the landlord especially so. The only minus points for me were the fact that I had to drive to get there and back, hence I could only have a few tasters of the beers, and the price of said beers. When pubs nearer home are selling real ale for between £2.30 and £2.70 a pint, £2.95 seems a bit much for somewhere that is off the beaten track. That said, I am still going to recommend The Black Swan to any friends for a visit.

A MUCH better price than the hotels right next to the airport, yet this hotel/pub is just minutes from the hotel. The room was large and the bathroom was so nice and updated! The cow art in the hallways was sooooo cute! I loved loved it! The pub service could have been more attentive, but we were a little impatient as we wanted to repack for the flight the next day. The food was good! My husband enjoyed his flatbread pizza. My gammon steak was incredibly salty, like way too salty. Free parking. Easy check in/out Good WiFi We are back in the UK in August and we're already booking our overnight stay at this hotel. We're looking forward to it.
