I expressed some conncern when I learned about a Manger leaving. I talked to her about some concerns of personal growth for our son and she had disregarded all of it as well you want this then you have to pay. Last week I was trying to work with the on site manager about maybe trying to have our son work with a teacher who can flip flop weeks through the month to teach piano and drums. As other students have been able to do this. Next thing I get is an email - we no longer want your business basically because they didn't like constructive criticism of suggestions from a loyal paying customer wanting to grow their child's musical talents. When I called the office the manager tried telling me its because I yelled at teachers on multiple occasions. Lie! I have gone in only speaking with the manager and with kindness but expressed some frustration. I was told she will get back to me as things are changing around here. So my 12 yr old son who was exited to start a new band, instead I had to be tell him that the school of rock terminated our business! Wow terminated a customer because they don't want to provide accommodations! Last time I checked a stong business goes above beyond to accommodate a customer or to talk about options to assist. Nope not the Geneva nor Schaumburg location. I guess getting too rich too fast to care about word of mouth goes far! Becareful customers!

We've seen both kids progress in terms of their musical ability, but it's also really helped their overall confidence and desire to learn more. She has only been through 3 lessons but she really likes it. She is in a class of 6..so time will tell how she will progress vs private lessons (which they do offer). We visited their Christmas recital and were very impressed. The offer a wide range of percussion instruments...not just snare & drum set. Recitals are also plus as she has never had the opportunity to publicly perform at the other school. This is a family run business and are very friendly, genuine folks. They even assembled my daughters Christmas drum set and tuned them as a courtesy because we're customers.

My sons were not doing well in school, however, after starting percussion lessons, they achieved higher grades overall and easily made the top bands after rigorous auditions (Vern helps with that, as well as IMEA, etc). Vern took interest in our boys beyond what anyone could expect. His facility is stellar! He has many, many instruments and a performance facility beyond compare. Each student is in the "spotlight" several times per year at recitals. This is a teacher who not only is a master at his craft (drumming), but a master motivator and instructor!

We were referred by our daughter, who had frequented the store. We walked into this Batavia Music store not knowing anything about violins beside the basic stuff, and left with a wealth of knowledge. Tom (owner) is very pleasant; we enjoyed doing business with him. We were quite surprised that he bought an old violin from us, before we settled on anything he had in his inventory. He helped us make the right decision quality and price. It was a joy to be in the presence of so many beautiful instruments and an owner who really cares about his work. We will be back for lessons and care of a couple of other instruments.

They asked me to bring in the guitar so they could match it up, and within a few minutes I was on my way with exactly what I needed. We were pleasantly surprised to find a kind and accommodating sales team with nothing but options available for us to pursue. We wanted a vertical acoustic piano in black and the available stock in our price range was low. Keith (I think), recommended some other verticals in brown wood finishes, but we had our preferences. He was careful not to pressure us into anything and we ended up stumbling upon and asking about the Roland line of digital pianos. He was knowledgable and helped ease our concerns around digital versus acoustic. We ended up buying a Roland, because it met the needs of our family at the moment. Eventually, when we can move to a larger house, we'll be back here to see about getting a bigger acoustic piano! The close of the sale and the follow-up to the pick-up were pleasant experiences as well, which is why we highly recommend Pianoland!

She quickly sent me several sound clips of her singing various songs and I knew right away I wanted her to sing for my wedding. She suggested I consider hiring flute and piano. Michael Bazan played the flute and it sounded really nice on the recordings. I admit at first I wasn't sure how much the flute would add overall but I trusted Maureen.
