Apparently one time my friend came downstairs and their was some kind of sex-dungeon party going on with loads of naked people, although when I went in it was empty. It's quite grimy, and there is just one small bar. It's not really the sort of place you would go for a nice quiet drink, but it's got a lot of character. Plus, in spite of the aggressive décor, the barman was very sweet.

Regardless, it was worth a visit. The barman was very friendly, and impressed me hugely when he got us sniffing the various types of dark rum on offer! I stuck with the Sailor Jerry, but there was a good choice, as well as tequila shots for a pound if you're so inclined. I didn't get any of the Mediterranean food on offer in the restaurant but would definitely go back another time - really good service and atmosphere.

It was quite novel and I haven't seen any other place do this before. Friday and Saturday nightsare definitely the best times to go but I would wonder if we hadn't been in such large numbers whether it would be as much fun. With a huge amount of different drinks on offer it would be a good place to stop in if you were on a pub crawl for sure. However, I couldn't see myself spending all night here.

The bar is separate from the main dancefloor, which is a definite bonus, meaning that no-one is walking through the thronging masses to get to the bar. The main room is upstairs, but downstairs is another smaller room, generally with a more chilled out atmosphere than the main section. In summer, in common with most seafront clubs, it is a cafe/bar in the daytime, serving takeaway drinks and basic food. Drinks offered are pretty standard. Don't go there if you want speciality beers or a range of wines ! With a lovely interior and heated pavement seating Paris House makes a good backdrop for a date or catch up with friends. I regret to say that I haven't been overly impressed by the food when I've tried it, but there's plenty of eateries in the area to try before heading over for a night cap ;)
