I used The Movers on recommendation of a friend. I could not be happier with the choice to do so. The care and expertise with which they handled my belongings was as if it were their own. This is a reflection of careful recruitment and management of their great staff. Not only do they bring skill and strength but also specialized equipment that reflects their professionalism. I was also impressed with the integrity with which they conducted business. By this I mean they keep their commitments and were very responsible and considerate of our time and energy. Their communication and follow through is thorough and proactive. Which I especially appreciated as it took a lot of the burden of the moving process off of my shoulders during what is already an unsettling stressful process. Finally, their professional demeanor was wonderful. Working with The Movers is like working with dear old friends that bring their A game every day. Thank you guys. HORRIBLE moving company!!! I hired this fly-by-night so called moving company "The Movers 911" in June of 2023' to move my residence. It was a short move approximately 7 miles. Initial conversations with guy named John in "The Movers 911" office went well. He outlined the parameters and processes the company, follows and what they can, and cannot do and what they are able to do on the day of the move. Later, when the moving crew arrived at my house, I would find out most of what this John guy told me was not true. It was simply a ploy to get me to use them for my move. He had no clue what he was talking about! Then moving day came and everything got worse from there! First, the crew arrived over an hour late. Second, the company sent 4 guys when I only booked 3 (they charge per man, per hour). Once they arrived it took the very sluggish crew 15 - 20 minutes just to get out of their vehicles and introduce themselves to me at which time only one engaged with me as the team supervisor. I had to approach and introduce myself to the rest of the crew as they acted socially inept, very unprofessional! Not to mention their appearance was very disheveled and unwarranted given the task and they looked and acted like they just left the bar as opposed to showing up for work ready to present themselves to a new customer in a professional and respectful manner. Next I had to show the crew around my house to show them everything that needed moved as they acted like they didn't know what to do. Shortly after that, without even asking for permission, one of the crew members started walking around my house and taking pics with his cell phone. Within a few minutes the crew stated they were not going to move anything and they left. I immediately called "The Movers 911" office to report what had happened and state my shock and frustration at what their crew had done. I ended up speaking with the same John guy I had previously talked with several times, except now John was no longer the same guy but rather a psychopath who proceeded to verbally attack me and accuse me of not being the right kind of customer for them. I asked for his managers name and to speak with him to which he refused and stated I didn't need to know that. EXTREMELY unprofessional and overall sketchy!! Between the company lying about how they operate, trying to charge me for extra workers, showing up late, complaining about being tired from working the day before, not knowing what to do or how to do it, being sluggish and acting and appearing VERY unprofessional, and having to deal with a pathological liar running the office, there are PLENTY of reasons not to hire this company!! DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! read more

I was promised a 26' van and box for my t.v. They came 8/28/23 with a 14' truck saying the other trucks were broken B.S. they loaded and had to make a second trip leaving my $800. desk and $3000. t.v. when i told them i would protest a second trip there pycho manager john davis screemed at me and told them to unload my items in the garage. Troy the supervisor was kind and delivered my items after going to see pycho john for an hour and refused to make another trip. I called my bank and wish $373. of my $973. bill expunged please don't do business with scam lying so called moving company this was a pure set up and some one should let every independant and assisted facility know about them read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE MOVERS. HORRIBLE ATTITUDES! They arrived 50 minutes late and with an attitude. I requested two people and they sent three people. They worked very slowly and dragged their feet to make more money, in my opinion. An hour job was turning into a much longer job. UNACCEPTABLE. I had one armoire to move. Not a big job. Once I asked them to "pick up the pace" because I had someone waiting for me, they started yelling that "I can't talk to them that way." They stopped their snail paced work and left. This company didn't ask questions that a professional company should ask, and didn't listen when I told them we were on a timeline. They only sent two guys and I ended up having to do A LOT of the work myself and called four friends to help! Still took three hours more than it was supposed to. The guys did a good job but we have found a lot of broken items so far and we aren't even done moving in. Clearly marked fragile with stickers and they still put heavy boxes on top of them. Manager was not helpful at all and didn't even compensate at all on the price and charged us overtime when they didn't send enough people! Basically blamed it on us for inadequate info but they should have asked us about boxes, etc. I will not recommend them. read more

My regular mover was not available for the certain day I needed and the senior community that I was moving my 87 yr old aunt to recommended The Movers911. My 87 yr old aunt had the afternoon slot. At 1:15 I called to see what time they were actually coming and they said the job before hers was taking longer than anticipated and they thought it would be closer to 7 pm TO START THE MOVE...or could she move to tomorrow. She was already in her new apt putting away boxes w her other out of town relatives that came in just for that day to help.... Ummm no she can't change to tomorrow. I was pissed because who does that to an 87 yr old whose anxiety is already thru the roof about moving out of her home. I asked the owner to leave the morning job and finish that one tomorrow since they needed a 2nd load done or send another truck and crew and he said they were all booked til midnight...well I can see why because in my opinion he obviously doesn't know how to schedule and just keeps packing more homes and money into each day. The owner than said he could tell I was disgruntled...well no kidding....and tried to just take us off the schedule altogether. I will say the crew was very nice but the owner needs some anger mgmt and business running classes. If this was the last moving company on earth I would pay extra to get a company from Mars because this was so stressful and exhausting on my aunt. Did I mention she is 87 yrs old? And they only brought one wardrobe box to move all her hanging clothes....really? They finished after 11 pm. The crew was exhausted also. read more

They greatly underestimated the number of men needed to move our belongings. The estimate was given over the phone and was not a detailed assessment of our belongings. The estimator advised we would only need two men and one truck. It took them 12 1/2 hours and I finally told them to just go home and we had to get the rest. They were exhausted and it was getting late. I called explaining that I did not think I should be responsible for the nearly 5 hours of overtime charges (time and a half) because if they had properly served our needs with 4 men and 2 trucks it would not have taken over 8 hours. He did not feel there was any responsibility on their part for failing to accurately determine our needs. When I said I felt our needs for the move were "underserved" he said he did not know what that word even meant. So pleading our case was pointless with someone who doesn't even understand basic principles of customer service or the definition of a simple word. ("under"=less than, "served"=taken care of) We've had issues with other movers in the past and they were very willing to make things right. But there was absolutely no willingness to work with us on what was clearly improper evaluation of our needs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you don't care if they make it right if they do not provide a satisfactory job! read more
