I've been working with Jay for roughly 3 years and can't say enough good things about his training style.

I had been running for an indeterminate period of time. I suspected it to be an eternity, but I…read morealso suspected that in my exhaustion I might be exaggerating things. Though I had certainly hiked greater distances, it dawned on me that this was possibly the longest distance that I had ever run in my life in one sitting. One of the girls running next to me spoke up. "Do you know how long we've been running?" she panted to our trainer, merrily peddling alongside us on a bike. "I think this is the longest I've ever run in my life." "About 5 and a half miles," he replied. "This is madness!" I exclaimed. "Madness? This...is...booooooooooooot caaaaaamp!" Okay, so that didn't happen, at least the 300 reference (although our trainer was in fact an easy-on-the-eyes Scotsman). But I really did run 5.5 miles that day, as well as perform various other feats of strength and endurance that would ordinarily seem improbable for me to do on a nearly daily basis. But beyond the fact that my goal weight is currently 22 pounds, I a) have reached the point where I really don't want to go to the gym and do the same routine day in and day out, b) know that despite my inner grumbling, I enjoy a good ass-kicking (especially if it means that I don't have to sweat the occasional chocolate or bucket of fried chicken), and c) would like to spend a least some of my day outside when I spend so much time inside working. For all these reasons and more, Boot Camp SF has been perfect for me. They have a variety of locations, great instructors, and various levels for each time slot offered. If for some reason you think you'll be gone a lot during a session (as I was for the previous one), you can purchase a pack of 10 classes to take when you are able (they can also be purchased singly). Having your measurements taken, which may initially seem mortifying, is actually a great way to see your progress and stay motivated. Oh, and you'll most likely end up bonded to the people in your group, if for no reason other than (happily) sharing in the suffering together.

I have had a hate-hate relationship with working out, exercise, and cardio my whole life. I would…read morelegitimately debate whether waiting 20 minutes for the next bus was better than running to catch the current bus. I am weak, I have no muscle tone, and I have little endurance. I've tried to change this approach to exercise several times in my life. Gym memberships, group classes, rock climbing, at-home workout videos with virtual coaching and support groups... nothing stuck. Enter BootCampSF. For the first time in my life, I craved feeling sore from a workout. I now know what it is like to want to go workout. I may not look all that different, but I feel better and stronger. On week one, I could only run up 1/3 of the hill; and by week six, I still couldn't run to the top of the hill, but I can make it 2/3 of the way now. I just finished my first 6-week program, and I've signed up for a recurring subscription. I never thought I'd be this excited about working out. This was Katy's last training session with BCSF, but I'm sure whoever we get next will be just as great.

One of my favorite things is how each coach brings their own personal twist to the workouts. You get variety without chaos: different coaching styles, creative programming, and fresh energy, while still keeping things structured and intentional. It never feels repetitive, and the coaches genuinely care about proper form, motivation, and helping you push past your limits safely. On top of that, the community is incredibly welcoming. Whether you're brand new or a regular, everyone is supportive, encouraging, and easy to connect with. It's the kind of place where people cheer each other on and celebrate progress, big or small. If you want great workouts, passionate coaches, and a positive, motivating environment, O2 Body Fit is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.

I've been going for a few months now here and there and it's definitely a great workout. The community is also great, and all the teachers are kind and goes at a level you're comfortable at. Every time I've been, there's something new I'm learning or a new form I'm getting down. If you're bored of going to the gym, I recommend this bootcamp to add into your fitness rotation. All the instructors are very supportive, and really does try to help you and push you to do your best. Also, the music is great and love the water machine.
