The scheduling staff were very responsive, informative, and easy to communicate with, and the agreed upon work was priced very reasonable, especially compared to other companies within their sphere of competition. Overall very happy with their service. Hired them for labor only unpack of a 26 ft moving truck. Three guys showed up who were all professional and friendly. Nothing broken and the truck unloaded in fast order. The amount of paper work I needed to fill out was a bit overkill for a simple job like this, but I get they need to protect themselves. I'm posting this a few months later so I've had time to cool off and let the dust settle, but I just keep going back to how terrible this company is. Their business model would fail immediately if they had any serious competition. Budget trucks? Could you not get a Class A license after being in this business for years? They said to move my car would be $700 which seemed fair so I agreed and they added it to the list of inventory, and sent me a quote for $10,500 for everything. Later we decided to drive it instead and asked them to take it off - they said the car was never included so the price wouldn't be reduced. I told them that it's clearly on the inventory and was added before we were quoted, and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about at first, then finally came back saying OOH it IS on the inventory list, well it isn't on the quote though... So, you forgot to quote it and it should have been even more to move the car too? Yeah right. They sent me a deposit form to sign for $2500, then ran my card for $2550 - they said the extra $50 was a credit card fee (which is illegal in the state of CO) as supposedly stated on the form. Well it's not on the form - they said OOH the form must have changed, "I haven't read it in a while"... There was a four day delay in moving to our new house, followed by them not being able to deliver until two weeks after we moved, so we were stuck in a completely empty house for the duration, with zero sympathy or effort to work the move back into the schedule. We had to pay for 11 days of storing out stuff on the moving truck as it sat in their parking lot. We also lost our lawnmower in the move - I asked right when the guy arrived if there was anything they can't take that I should load on my trailer (i loaded my propane tanks already because I knew those couldn't be moved by them) but he said no they can take everything. Then he called me at the last minute after we were long gone saying that they finished loading but couldn't take the lawnmower because it had been used and there were gas fumes in it. The lawnmower was in my garage out in plain sight, they had to walk past it to grab a bunch of other stuff to load on my trailer instead. Pretty sure one of the guys just wanted a free lawnmower out of the deal. In the middle of the delay, they up and decided to run my card again for another $2500 without my permission, and said it was a progress payment. Then they sent me the final invoice, showing the wrong amount due - overcharging me by $300. When I called them on it they said it was a typo and they'd fix it. Despite their terms clearly stating balance due on delivery, a day before even starting the drive out to the delivery address, they decide to run my card for the balance in the middle of the night as if hoping I wouldn't notice. And guess what, as if that wasn't egregious enough, they still ran it for the wrong amount, overcharging me by $300 again! They said they ran it because they wouldn't be in the office as they drove out and wouldn't be able to run it (this time changing the story by saying that the $300 extra was a pad in case they had to climb stairs etc. which I could also not find anywhere in our paperwork) - somehow I doubt they're completely unable to charge a credit card away from the office (I have several ways of running a card from just my phone as I'm sure they do because the refund magically came in the second they left). These people are clearly very dishonest and will try to lie and cheat their way to getting more money out of you. P.S They admitted to overcharging me $300 the first time in writing saying it was an accident. They admitted to overcharging $300 in writing, saying it was "just in case". I asked them if there was anything they couldn't move and they said no. I could have easily put the lawnmower in my truck at the time. They said nothing a large fee to type in some numbers or if being able to come in to avoid that fee. The fact that it was refunded proves they know they were in the wrong. When the lady told me the credit card fee was clearly explained I told her to show me. She couldn't find it because it wasn't there, and she got very flustered and only then did it get corrected. Do with this information what you will. To be clear, I'm leaving them one star for these reasons: A. I caught them in lies B. I caught them trying to overcharge C. I caught them trying to add illegal fees D. Their communication was poor E. They weren't familiar with their own contracts and procedures read more

We made the correct decision using The MOOving Company for our move from Montrose to NE Alabama. From start to finish, this was a stress free move because of their professionalism and knowledge. Upon arrival and unpacking not a single item was broken! David, Niki and Austin made all of this possible. I mean not even one thing broken! They arrived on time for pick up and delivery. They're lucky to even get one star. They moved my mom from a trailer to another trailer 5 minutes away broke the table took two days to do a 4-Hour job then my mom's 75 years old wouldn't help her move boxes around in the house or put beds together. I've worked for a moving company over the years of my life and we always help our customers and that's number one this place is horrible. We are actually going to take action against them civilly. oh and stay away from them I promise you it won't be worth it plus they charged my mom double of what they quoted her. I'm sorry I usually leave great reviews for businesses that I use but this was catastrophic failure. Plus the things they broke they wanted to give 10% on the market value that's crazy so my mom's $1,000 table then we wanted to give $100 for which would have done nothing. Total loss read more

I had a great experience with the Mooving Co. for a long, complicated, involved move entailing a large commercial juicer and crating. David White, Laura Potter and Nikki were all super helpful, professional, and awesome. My two movers were fast, professional, and careful. Like I said, my "move" took 2 weeks of crating, shipping, warehousing large industrial equipment, and some glitches from a third-party vendor that luckily the folks at the Mooving Co. handled quickly and with care. I used these folks twice - because they are the only movers I could find for a local move! I am really disappointed in both their moving men and their consignment store practices. Let's start with how they physically move boxes and furniture. I was told by one of the men that they are trained to use carry straps (carry straps are a great tool) to lift boxes stacked on top of one another. I watched as they put heavy boxes on top of light boxes and crushed them. I watched them drop boxes or hit the wall with the stack. In addition, 2 of the guys on my crew would stack the boxes in the truck, exit the truck and tell me that the boxes were all for one room or another room - when in fact one box might be labeled garage/tools, the next master bedroom and the top box said kitchen. As a result I have lots of heavy tools on the second floor, bedding in the basement, school books in the garage and so on. Only one guy on the crew bothered to put the well marked boxes in the proper places, one by one. One fellow also spent a lot of time complaining about the boxes being too heavy for him to lift. (He would still pile additional boxes on top.). He complained about "stupid owners" doing their own packing - even when the boxes in question were packed by United Van Lines guys back east. I felt unsafe with him in my house and had neighbors come join me while the men worked. The one responsible guy on the crew told me on his arrival that they damaged a couple items. I appreciated that. He took photos of the damage and said I would hear from the company about repairs. I NEVER heard a word from them. The consignment store is another whole story. I consigned 11 items as I moved out of the area. They told me I would get checks for the items. I got 2 checks for 6 items. They were strikingly low amounts. When I inquired about what price they had charged for a good quality leather couch in good (not new but a strong good) condition, I was told they sold the couch for less than $100. That was absurd - if it was true! Every item I consigned was either nearly new or in "good" condition. I netted so little that I should have donated the stuff and taken a tax deduction. AND, unlike other consignment stores, these guys CHARGED ME to move the stuff to their store. Now I know why other friends advised against using the consignment service. My final comment -- stuff is missing! Nothing of value but boxes of things that were packed together are not at my house. I cannot say these guys are responsible, but the stuff left house one and did not appear at house two. Did a couple boxes fall off the truck ... is it a random coincidence... all I know is a box of kitchen stuff is gone, so is a box of bedding and linens. I have moved often and only had one other item ever vanish in transit - and in that case,the moving company found the missing item. read more

So glad I didn't listen to the other reviews. Had a very happy experience with the Mooving Company. We were an awkward move, needing to split items between the new home and a storage unit. Wayne, Greg and Jim never complained, and worked their butts off. I'm sure that there are other movers who would spend the time putting pads down on the carpet, but I doubt they would be as affordable. The guys spent more time then was estimated and the price was still a bargain. Only 4 stars because communication with the office was somewhat confusing; I would email one person and another would call back. Would have preferred to be able to work with one person all the way through. read more

I was able to get an estimate scheduled quickly, it was right on with what they wound up charging. The guys were on time and were careful with our stuff, and worked at a good pace until the job was done. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! They broke 2 pieces of our furniture, the mover lied about it, lied about offering us insurance, he proceeded to not tell the office that they broke our furniture, tried to fix it on his own on the side and then as we attempted to get reimbursed for our broken furniture, they told us "we are not fixing your broken furniture" & "good luck" in getting a check from the accountant! Now, 9 weeks later, they have sent a check that will not cover fixing 1 piece of our furniture and are still yelling at us and lying to us!!! UNBELIEVABLE... STAY AWAY! use anyone else but these people - they are not truthful and very unprofessional. read more
