I made a reservation a week and a half early for a rental while my car was in the repair shop…read morethrough my insurance. I attempted to call multiple times the week prior to confirm that they would be picking me up from the body shop as that is what my confirmation directly from Hertz stated they would do. I was never able to get anyone to answer the phone. The day of, I dropped my car off at the body shop and had to get a ride from the shop to the airport to get the rental since they never showed up or answered the phone. When I got to Hertz at 8:30am they refused to talk to me about my reservation until 9am despite the fact that their hours are posted as opening at 8:30. Once they would acknowledge me at 9 they then told me that they had no car for me. I explained that I had a reservation and even have multiple email confirmations. He said "yeah our system will let you book it but that doesn't mean we will have a car for you". I'm pretty sure thats exactly what a confirmation should mean. So I was stranded with my two children and had to call a friend to pick us up. Not only did they not fulfill my reservation but they were quite rude in the way they spoke to me. I definitely do not recommend.

Unfortunately, this sadly was not the first time this has happened, but we'll gladly will give credit where credit is due. Long story short: Due to the last "bait and switch" incident, we decided it was best to reserve a Premium SUV a month in advance and add on roadside assistance and damage insurance. The day before we were supposed to pick up the vehicle, my hubs phone was blowing up. When he was finally able to call them back, it was another "bait and switch." Once again they somehow didn't have the specific vehicle we reserved. Seriously, it felt like we were in the middle of a Seinfeld episode. If you know, you know. ;-) Anyway, when my hubs asked why the Premium SUV we "reserved" was no longer available, here were some of the responses: 1. One customer extended their rental...wasn't sure when they'd return it. 2. The one Premium SUV they did have in inventory had balding tires which needed to be replaced and wouldn't be ready until 8am the next day. Sorry, but not gonna work. 3. They had a smaller SUV available, but it was a no-go - we reserved a Premium SUV because we NEEDED a Premium SUV! 3. They offered us two smaller SUV's for the price of one. Appreciate the offer, but now our crew has to split up for the sake of their mess-up? Hard pass. Anyway, they managed to get us a Premium SUV just in the nick of time and gave us a small discount because they had no time to clean/detail the interior/exterior, and believe me it was filthy! Here's the kicker. We hit the road and after our second stop for gas, a tire was rapidly losing air. Not gonna say what I'm thinking but I'm sure y'all are with me on this. I won't bore you with the details of that unexpected event, but we managed to get a new tire and were back on the road again. Enterprise did ask the tire store to invoice them, but they would not agree - apparently they've been stiffed by EP and other car rental companies in the past by doing this. When we got back home and returned the vehicle...after several discussions, Customer Service Rep (Jessica G) and Branch Manager (Alex H) were helpful, understanding and did us a solid, which we appreciated. We may give Enterprise another chance...after all, thirds times a charm...Right?

Outstanding rental with Colorado 145 Jeep this past August Tuesday…read more We called during business hours to schedule a rental, a person answered the phone, got us the jeep we needed and emailed over the contract and insurance instructions to expedite the process at the pick-up counter. At pick-up, the staff member was very helpful going over the trail map and pointing out some different routes that I had not considered before. Then it was a short ride over to pick up the Jeep and the instructions were laid out perfectly for the return process. As for the Jeep, was a 2 door Wrangler in excellent shape. Had nice Weathertech seat maps, Sirius satellite radio, good sound system, and most importantly was ready for serious 'jeeping' in the San Juans. My only small suggestion would be making the map a little bit more detailed in the Alpine Loop portion as the Hurricane Pass and California Pass were not precisely listed. The price of the rental for the 2-door was also $175/day base price where as Ouray Jeeps are $120-$150, but I understand the mark-up for being in the Mountain Village. We were able to maximize our day and I do appreciate the business not having you return the vehicle until 8pm. Very good experience with the company and will use them for my Jeep experience next summer.

As…read morea regular at this location they have always given me quick and efficient service which is much appreciated after spending all day in several airports, special shout out to Alex who seems to always be working the counter with a smile and positive attitude. The cars are always new, clean, and ready to go with an easy short walk to the lot. They make returning your rental a breeze with the self park and key return box. They know how to handle circumstances that are out of their control professionally. I'm sincerely happy to continue to have to rent from this location, which is something I cannot say for many other rental companies on my constant travels. Keep up the good work!

Well, to begin with, the staff was "short," so were the cars; the employee who "helped" us had no idea how to interact with customers; he gave us an "upgrade" that only destroyed part of our trip; he provided us with an Audi Quattro with a low suspension, making it pretty...if you are on a date, definitely NOT for Colorado mountains. We were unable to enjoy many sections of our trip plan due to a low car that was unable to go any further than paved roads. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE. I will NEVER rent another vehicle from you guys. You either have employees with common sense or vehicles that meet the needs for the location.

I called the Alamo 800 number to advise them that I would not be picking the van up on the 21st but would be in on the 22nd. Was told by the rep that their policy does not permit that & the whole reservation would be cancelled. I offered to pay up front for the rental, again advised that this was not possible. Luckily I found the local Montrose number for Alamo and Carlton(branch manager) told me that not to worry & the van would be waiting for me upon arrival on the 22nd. Great customer service by Carlton! My advise: never call the 800 number for Alamo. Go local!
