    Lobby espresso bar

Aesthetically, this hotel could be described as stealth wealth. It's subtlely stylish and well healed without being ostentatious. Quietly opulent design furniture and contemporary artworks are exclamation points in the common areas and bedrooms. The bathrooms have heated tiles and the rooms all have good and adjustable lighting, which is not always the case in only-lit-by-lamp hotel rooms. Something unique about this hotel is that there's a rooftop and also a lobby espresso bar where guests gather in the morning for complementary pastry, coffee and bottled water. The pastries are very good from a bakery called Colson patisserie. The service at the check in desk and coffee bar was ok. The location is convenient and while there's a little bit of noise from Manhattan streets it's not on unbearable.

The Moore is a quaint boutique hotel right off of 22nd street. Several restaurants, local coffee shops and walking distance to the SOHO museum district. I stayed in the suite which has an adorable terrace right off the bedroom with a hot tub and lounge chairs for warm NYC nights. The room was very clean and spacious. There's a small cafe and bar area in the hotel lobby. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The only thing that annoyed me was, the suite is located next to a public bathroom which is used by guests when parlaying at the hotels rooftop. It is a lovely rooftop, but why have a bathroom right next to a suite? Weird. It wasn't loud, but that may be because my stay was during off season and the rooftop was not open. Nonetheless, I would stay again and bring my own snacks because the cost of the stale peanuts and bottled water was ridiculous.

Potential bed bug or spider bites

I hate to write this review because I am not a big yelper but my boyfriend and I just stayed here over Labor Day Weekend and had a spiral of bad experiences at this hotel. To begin it is a very aesthetic hotel which is why I picked it since it was our 1 year anniversary we were willing to spend a bit more for a nice experience. We arrived in the AM due to our red eye flight so we knew our room would not be ready but they ensured us they would send a text with an update in a couple hours. 2pm rolls around and no text so I called and they said 3pm the room will be ready. 3pm rolls around and no text so I call again and they said give us another hour we are behind. 4pm rolls around and they say it might be another 30 mins. At this point we have had to change our schedule around 3 times pushing back commitments because we couldn't shower/get ready after the plane. Eager to get in the room ASAP we headed over only to be told by a new person our room has been ready since 3pm.... It was now 4:45. Sunday rolls around and when we checked in they let us know they have a rooftop wine bar and small cafe in the lobby where we can use some tokens they gave us. Well we figured we would go try out the wine bar... it was closed. Still wanting some wine my boyfriend goes downstairs and tries to purchase a bottle of wine with the tokens instead and they said we can only purchase 1 glass using the tokens not a bottle. He asked if he could purchase a couple at once instead and was declined. Now over our stay I noticed I started to get little bits on my feet specifically (screenshot attached from today). Eventually I put two and two together and came to the conclusion it was either spider bites or bed bugs. This makes perfect sense because I noticed the room was dusty like it hadn't been properly cleaned when we first arrived. My boyfriend has them as well. We ordered uber eats one night and to make it easier on the delivery person I said leave it with the front desk. It was late but we never received a call from the front saying it had been delivered even though Uber claims it was. Needless to say we were pretty bummed and disappointed choosing this place to stay. I wish I would have shelled out a bit more money for a nicer spot but we couldn't swing it this time which is a big bummer. Only positive I will say is the location is good with subway stop close by.

Sleeper hotel ! No pun intended. Laid out on a quiet street it was still within close proximity to the A trains for me. I arrived missing my phone charger and their friendly staff allowed me to use theirs which was very kind ! The room was the perfect size ! Not too small, there was even a desk positioned next to the window to make it look larger. Perfect water pressure, toilet took a minute to try and figure out haha but we made it work ! I really loved "cafe Moore" which is a bar set up in their lobby where you can partake in tea, coffee, or alcoholic beverages at your leisure. They aren't free, but cost less than Starbucks so I did partake in a tea before check out. They also have a rooftop bar which was closed during my stay but I did go up just to take a peek and you can see the top of the Empire State Building! A very nice touch. If you want to stay in the city but not really this would be a great option !

Absolutely everything! The staff was stupendous - the level of professionalism, with New York City as busy as it is was very warm welcoming, and the experience will guarantee us coming back to THE MOORE on our next New York trip 2025

Centrally located boutique hotel in the heart of Chelsea. If I'm not mistaken, this was once the GEM Hotel and had recently reopened as The Moore after two years of renovation. Midcentury modern aesthetic throughout, rooftop terrace, on-site cafe, complimentary wifi, and a fitness center. Close to public transit. Overall a quiet property which is great if you're sensitive to city street noise and would like a good night's rest. There is definitely an emphasis on cleanliness which is very much appreciated. Front desk staff was very friendly and considerate. (They helped celebrate my and my husband's wedding anniversary with a bottle of wine.) Online check-in was also offered to help streamline the check-in process. The rooms are definitely small compared to other NYC hotels that we've stayed at - around 160 sqft. It made things slightly tricky for us when we wanted to eat our takeout inside the room (limited space) rather than in the lobby .. and that could be why they don't include a mini fridge or a coffee maker inside the room (to maximize space) ... but in the end, we were able to make it work! tldr; centrally located, modern aesthetic. Small room. Rating: 4.5/5

Friends thought we were a lil crazy for bringing two kids to Manhattan, but it ended up being such a special trip for us, and the Park Hyatt was a huge part of that. The hotel is beautiful, from the gorgeous floral arrangements throughout the property to the calm, elegant atmosphere. Our room was incredibly spacious, which felt like a true luxury in New York, especially with a stroller, luggage, SNOO and everything that comes with traveling with a newborn. Having that extra space made the entire trip feel easier. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the indoor pool. We took the boys swimming almost every night, and it became our little ritual. They loved it, and those evening swims are still some of my favorite memories from that trip. The location was perfect for a family stay. We walked to Central Park, FAO Schwarz, Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, Columbus Circle, and so many nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and stores. Being able to explore for a few hours, come back to the hotel to rest, and then head back out again made New York feel surprisingly easy. Now, two years later, our boys are older and we're planning another New York trip. I've been looking at hotels, but I keep coming back to the Park Hyatt because of how special that first stay was for our family. It would be pretty amazing to bring the boys back, let them swim in that pool again, and experience the hotel at a different stage of their childhood. The Park Hyatt will always have a special place in our family's New York memories.

We spent 4 nights on a short vacation trip to NYC. The staff at checkin were very friendly and helpful. The bar and breakfast staff were very accommodating and also very friendly. They are like compartment spaces, with what you need: a bed by the window, a cool shower enclosure, a couple cabinets for storage, and a sink with soaps and shampoos to start the day or end the day right. This location is very convenient to TS, subway stops, and all the shops your heart could hope for. CitizenM is our hotel of preference now.

I had booked the majority of my trip at another hotel, but I needed an extra night and used Marriott points for this stay. Overall, I thought it was a great place to stay. The location was very central, but it was not in the most crowded part of Times Square which I appreciated. It was a little hard to find at first because of nearby construction, but once I arrived, everything felt convenient and easy to access. The staff was relaxed, friendly, and helpful during check-in. I arrived around 1:00 PM, and my room was not ready yet, but once it was available, staff members were helping guests check in using the computers. The hotel has a very modern, tech-forward feel. The room included an iPad that controlled the lights, colors, and other settings, which gave the space a futuristic vibe. The room itself was very clean and felt pretty spacious for a New York hotel. The sheets and bathroom were clean, and I felt like I had everything I needed for a short stay. I also felt like it was a good value. I used about 58,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for the night, and New York hotels can easily run anywhere from about $200 to $500 per night depending on the date. Since I stayed on a weekday, that may have helped with the overall value. The next day, relocating to my other hotel was simple because the area was so central. As a Gold member, I also received late checkout, although I ended up leaving earlier than I needed to. The only thing that stood out was hearing another guest complain about the staff, which surprised me because my own experience had been very positive.

Some event must have been going on because getting an elevator was an adventure (a sad one). It didn't help that everyone had to take an elevator just to reach the lobby, then another to get to their room. Fortunately, I was only on the ninth floor...so I got my steps in. The room itself was mostly ok. One thing I really didn't like was the air conditioning. It wouldn't cool below 68 degrees. I despise hotels that throttle the A/C. I'd get warm, the air would finally kick on, I'd be comfortable for about ten minutes...then the cycle would repeat all night. Another thing that caught me off guard was the ceiling. Maybe they're going for an industrial look, but it was basically unfinished concrete. Other than those complaints, everything else in the room was perfectly acceptable, and for a one night stay, it did the job.
