I would just like to say that Kris made me so gorgeous on my special day. I live down in Los Angeles and we decided that Sonoma would be a perfect destination wedding. I just had my wedding a week ago and felt the need to come on here and rave about the service I received. She was very professional from the get go and highly responsive thru emails and phone calls. She was the first one to respond to my online requests and one of the few that took the time to call me to discuss my options. Since I was researching everything from far away, she was very helpful. My wedding day went off without a hitch and my makeup looked amazing and stayed on all day. I practically needed some paint thinner and a chisel to get it off at the end of the night. LOL It was about 85 degrees and even taking all the pictures in the heat, my makeup stayed in tact. I got several compliments. For all those brides out there searching for a good makeup artist in the Sonoma area - please do yourselves a favor and hire Kris. You will def regret if it you don't. I suggest you do the trial, i felt it necessary. My trial session was great and my makeup was immaculate, but on the big day, I didn't think it possible but wow! It looked even better than it did the first time! Once again, thank you Kris for being one for the reasons that my day was so perfect and beautiful. Best of Luck! Ivonne

I sort of stumbled upon Kris for my wedding, and I am SO glad I did. I was getting married in…read moreSonoma, and wanted a cost-effective, low-stress makeup artist. I am also Indian, and was having an Indian wedding, so I needed someone who would be able to work with my skin tone/makeup needs. I take care of my skin but (or maybe, therefore) do not wear make up daily. I did not want to be overdone, and my husband wouldn't have liked it either. My mom NEVER wears makeup, so was very hesitant to even get it done for the wedding, but my sister and I convinced her it would be better for the photos (we were TOTALLY right). Kris made me look like myself, but also STUNNING. I did not feel overdone, and would often forget that I was wearing makeup, until I'd catch a glimpse in the mirror-- it was like I was lightly--but authentically-- photoshopped. Same thing for my mom and sister... we still, to this day, talk about how Kris walked an incredibly fine line, and made us feel SO good, both in terms of how we looked AND felt (she is so chill and calming! Her studio is great.) We still revel in the compliments we get from anyone who sees the photos! She matched my makeup to my skin, and my red/orange/gold wedding dress (traditional Indian colors) perfectly. Kris also recommended my hair styles who I was very happy with. I did the trial the morning of one of my other wedding events earlier that week, which was a genius idea she suggested. I could go on and on, but I think the biggest compliment I can give Kris is: makeup was something I was not particularly looking forward to, and my experience with Kris was probably one of my favorite memories of the whole wedding.

I tried two other people during the year while we were planning our wedding day... but there was no comparison to what Monique turned my normally sad flat hair into a beautiful crown. It was exactly as I had imagined it without extensions or fakeness. And the make up not only looked good- it felt good AND stayed on through the hot sweaty day AND sweatier dancing. She even reduced the eyeliner a bit for me when she saw I was a little uncomfortable with it - not a hassle... but a lovely time spent prepping for the favorite day of my life. Thank you Monique for all your effort and skill - I really felt my most pretty ever. Maybe we can recreate for our anniversary date next year.

I politely asked if the pricing varied depending on the type of eyebrow styling service I wanted. I received a (cold) response that it was a set price, so I followed up respectfully and asked what the cost would be. My message was seen, but I never received a response. I found this experience very disappointing and unprofessional. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to ask about pricing before committing to a service. I also noticed that most of the clients featured on the business's social media appeared to be mostly white, which made me feel uneasy and left me wondering whether I was ignored because I am Hispanic. I cannot say for certain why I did not receive a response, but the lack of communication left me feeling unwelcome. A simple answer about pricing would have gone a long way. I hope future customers receive the basic courtesy and professionalism they deserve. I'm also glad I experienced this before blindly booking.

I should also add our beautiful bride looked gorgeous as well - Sandra did a great job all around. Five stars for Sandra for not only saving the day with hair and makeup, but for doing an incredible job and being so pleasant and lovely through it all!
