My wife's Samsung Galaxy S2 was in a constant, but erratic, loop of turning itself on after being…read moreturned off or just showing the battery charge icon and unable to turn on. Tonik fixed it - Very good! BUT - Tonik claimed that they had found liquid in the phone and declined to guarantee the repair. THE PHONE HAD NEVER BEEN NEAR WATER, NOT EVEN TAKEN OUT IN THE RAIN. It was not possible that it was wet inside. - Very Bad, because the guarantee would only last 14 days, if treated for liquid! Customer service eventually agreed that it was not water inside but that it was the charging socket that needed fixing. I suspect my wife had tried, inexpertly, to insert the charging plug the wrong way up. Easily done. I agreed to the repair on the condition that the phone came with the "normal" 3 month guarantee but when the phone was returned, included on the invoice was "treated for liquid", which would negate the 90 day warranty. Also included on the £58.98 invoice. Reflowed PCB, replaced charging flex (No flex returned or included!) flashed software and resoldered damaged charging ic chip and components on motherboard. I'm glad that they have fixed it, but I don't think I will have them repair anything else if they adopt this two-faced untrustworthy approach to customer service, which left me feeling distinctly unhappy. The phone is still working after a week.

Bridal appointment in Max Mara- an awesome service and experience…read more I have just had a bridal appointment at this Max Mara store. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and very creative. With their help I have tried on a number of outfits and finally I chose one that I'm  very very happy with. It was a wonderful afternoon where I was made to feel very special. I highly recommend the bridal service at Max Mara.

I will not be returning to this store after many years visiting whilst back in London. Literally as…read moreI walked in 4 staff members stood talking by the main door. The Security officer came up to me and lent right over to peer down into my Selfridges shopping bag. Further in the store I then had a staff member "offer" to take my bag which I instead handed to my Husband who had just taken a seat. When I walked upstairs this same member of staff shadowed right behind. I saw other shoppers happily browsing without staff trailing them. Within a minute of walking in I was so upset by this experience I decided to leave. I have shopped with MaxMara over the decades but this experience was absolutely insulting.

DO NOT GO TO GADGET SOLUTION IN BRENTWOOD, ESSEX…read more I took my Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max to Gadget Solution because it suddenly wouldn't turn on and only showed the charging cable symbol with a low battery warning. I've had this phone for nearly four years with no issues before this happened. They told me my charging port was damaged and needed fixing. I left my phone with them for five hours, trusting they'd fix it properly. Later, they said they needed to replace the screen too something I never agreed to. They changed the screen without my permission and charged me £60, claiming the phone was fixed. Two weeks later, my phone started feeling heavier, and I noticed the battery was loose inside. My iPhone showed a warning that a non-genuine battery was installed. That's when I realised they had removed my original Apple battery and replaced it with a fake one again, without my permission. When I asked for my original battery back, they said they threw it away. That's not only dishonest, it's theft. A staff member named Jay was rude and tried to blame me and my phone for the problems. I had the phone for four years with no issues until it wouldn't turn on. They were supposed to fix it, but they replaced parts unnecessarily, damaged my phone further, and left me with a worse device. I made three visits in total. On the last visit, I arrived at 1pm and was told to come back at 6pm. I called at 5:30pm and they promised to call me back but never did. When I called again, they admitted they couldn't fix the phone. This was a complete waste of my time. I missed multiple buses because I trusted them. Buses in my area come only every two hours. I had to walk home twice a one-hour walk each way because of their incompetence and dishonesty. To make matters worse, their solution for damaging my phone was to offer me a discount if I bought a new iPhone from their store. How ridiculous is that I paid them to fix my phone, and because they messed it up, they think the answer is to try to sell me a new phone. That's not fixing the problem that's taking advantage of a customer. I wasted money on a temporary phone just to get by because they failed me so badly. I trusted them, and they lied, replaced genuine Apple parts with fake ones, and left me with a broken phone that still doesn't work. If you want a proper repair, go to an official Apple Store or authorised service provider. They will diagnose your phone properly, ask your permission before making changes, and treat your device with care. Do not trust Gadget Solution. Bad service, rude staff, dishonest practices, fake parts, and zero accountability.

This company at Romford is a scam, they sell faulty phones to you and try to gaslight you by saying…read morenothing was wrong with the phone and they act like you are the one who didn't do something right, cos how can you buy a phone that won't come up at all, you return it, they probably change the battery and tell you oh the phone is in perfect condition, I have been going back and forth with their very rude customer representatives who cuts the call on you and tell you they can't be speaking to you for long, bearing in mind your issues hasn't been sorted, they don't listen to you but just go ahead to do whatever favours the company. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone not now or in the near future. A disgrace of a company i must say. if you don't change your nasty and rude customer reps or shop attendant then you are heading for doom as a company.

I don't normally provide any reviews but feel I need to on this occasion as the service was so bad…read more I was very unhappy with the repair service at this shop. I needed the camera replaced on my phone and they initially said £35/£40 but then changed that to £70 when I wanted to proceed. I'd already had a quote for £60 but went ahead with their £70 quote as I was in the shop and they could do it the same day. They wanted a £20 deposit which is reasonable but when I went to collect my phone they had ordered the wrong camera so hadn't completed the repair. I then had to return the next day when they had received the correct camera. They needed half an hour to complete the repair but when I returned, they said they had been waiting for me as if I was late. We then tested the camera and they re-assembled the phone. I had to ask for the phone case which they started to say they hadn't had before realising it was under their nose on the bench. I paid and left thinking job done although the camera needed to be properly tested. The next day I did some WhatsApp messages and then caught the train into London. Now I found that I couldn't make any calls, texts, WhatsApp message and some photos which I needed were missing. I connected to the train Wi-Fi and WhatsApp started working but nothing else as there was no SIM or SD card in the phone. This completely stuffed my day. I may never know how many calls I missed or how many people I upset but I do know the calls I couldn't make and the people I left waiting for those calls. Irepair messaged me late morning confirming they had forgotten to replace the SIM and SD card but I was now in London and the SIM card was in Epsom. I dropped into Irepair the next day and they inserted the missing components. I'm sure they understand how important their phone is to them but they disregard the importance of their customer's phone. They were sloppy and careless resulting in a massif inconvenience to me. Think twice before you trust them with anything important to you like a phone or laptop. I did manage to get a 'sorry' from them but with an accompanying smile. It meant nothing and they didn't acknowledge the inconvenience they had caused. I pressed them to show they were sorry by refunding the repair costs, a minimal sum but this of cause was 'not possible'. A truly terrible service.

It was all straightforward to organise over email. Then when I came in, I was really pleased with the experience. I did also get a work discount (on top of work subsidising the eye test and glasses), so if you work in the area you might as well ask.
