My food came out within 7 minutes of my ordering and I could not have been more excited! 1 gold star for fast service. I wasn't a big fan of the onion rings, ONLY because I like a light batter. The dipping sauce that comes with them, however, is another story. There was a culmination of tangy and sweet that made me want to slide my finger around the rim of that plastic container when I had no more sauce. I think it is made with bourbon, so perhaps it was the lush in me‍. Nonetheless, It was the dog, ladies and gentlemen, that stole the show. The presentation alone screamed gourmet hot dog. The dog is served on this lightly toasted homemade bun that made me forget my gluten allergy. The dog itself has a nice snap of the casing that feels homemade as well. That alligator and pork combination was a myriad of flavors that made me say "mmmmm-mmm" out loud without even caring who heard. Needless to say, this was an enjoyable experience that even the most scrutinizing foodie would enjoy. Those Chi-town dogs have some tough competition! IT IS SO DELICIOUS. It almost taste like brioche bread which I love! The pictures probably don't do justice but it's massive. Also they give you a shareable portion of delicious fries. I must try the Rosemary & Garlic fries bc they are a fan fave. They weren't that busy but my waitress Jen was nothing less than spectacular. The only suggestion would be more bar selections and knowledgeable bartenders. Local craft beer was available. Not a lot of whiskey/bourbon options. This is a little gem in downtown Shreveport. It is SUPER cute inside. The food is untypical of anything Shreveport offers. There's a nice selection of hotdog/burger options. I wanted the étouffée dog but it wasn't option when I got there. Actually a lot of stuff was blocked off the menu which was kind of weird. The food was tasty. They are more than generous when it come to loading up the food. There was more bacon and cheese on the fries and there were fries which is not a bad thing at all! My sister had the Eddie dog and she liked it. I had the Cajun dog. It was good but didn't really taste like "Cajun." The dog in the hot dog was suppose to be alligator and andouille I believe but if I hadn't known that I wouldn't be able to tell. The meat could've been more favorable to make it very distinct. Attended The Missing Link during their "Comedy Night" special last night. Let me preface the comedy experience by saying no employee was wearing their mask correctly; masks were either completely under the staff's mouths or not on at all. The food was alright, and it was brought out quickly. However, the alright food quality meant nothing since everyone packed around our table was completely maskless. This establishment obviously cared very little (or not at all) about covid precautions and keeping their patrons safe. I saw no postings about masks being required displayed outside or inside the building. Now for the worst part: the "comedy" was brought to us by men who had obviously (and admittedly) never done stand-up in their life. Each joke from the first two performers of the night was characterized by homophobia, transphobia, and sexism. One "comic" called trans sex "disgusting," called his mom a "whore," and repeatedly used the word "faggot." The very first "comic" repeatedly referred to President Elect Joe Biden as a mental patient and repeatedly used the word "retard." The announcer for the night went into disgusting detail about sexting his wife, mentioning his "damp cock" and that he can only "do her from behind" because he's so fat. My partner and I left the show after the first 10 minutes, and we never regretted giving a business our money more. read more
