I got a very pleasant surprise yesterday at DSW. I was cheerfully greeted by a young man and later assisted by a helpful young lady. I eventually settled on a couple of maybe selections and almost left to think about it. I ended up buying a pair mostly because of the pleasant people working there. It has become far too normal for retail employees, especially young ones, to greet you with a dismissive "s'up". Both of these two deserve some praise because I probably would have walked away to keep looking elsewhere. I still hate shoe shopping and the shoes are still over priced but I was sold on the great service. Those two are keepers.
