I have been wearing glasses for 40 years, so I know how to go into a store and pick them out on my own. It felt very much like the young lady was commission based, so she was pushing glasses on to me. It was just too much. I explained, I'm having Lasik done in 2 months, so I just need something to hold me over for a few weeks.. not a $5-$700 pair of glasses combination she was pulling out.. I became so frustrated, I just left and purchased glasses online for a fraction of the cost (also when I mentioned that as an option, she made it clear that was basically tacky and it hurt my feelings a little and she can't promote it.. well no kidding when I got them for $123 with the lenses where as what she was trying to sell me was $300-$400 glasses + $150 lens and then a $320 appointment) for a 2-month pair. With that being said, the doctor was truly AMMMMAZING but I don't need to feel like I'm buying a car when I'm browsing the eye glass selection.

Amazing program and staff! This program was a blessing for my family. It is a commitment, but IT IS…read moreWORTH IT!! We are a very busy sports family that is always on the go. We made this our priority. It helped our family in so many ways. I could write a few page review, but will try and keep it short and simple. My family was struggling with a very defiant teen (she was lashing out, running away, experimenting with substance). We were recommended to attend the "Parenting with Love & Limits" (family skills training program). We signed up and after the initial intake, went twice a week for the length of the course. They do group therapy once a week (they provide dinner) with 5 other Families and once a week was just our family session. The family sessions were an hour. Both group and family sessions had a period of time with everyone then they would separate the kids / adults. It was an eye opener (and relief) to see that we were not the only family that was having struggles with their teen. We were all in the same boat, with similar stories, and similar hope. They opened our eyes to how our teens see/hear us, how we see/hear them and how to fix the communication gap. The teens were taught about substance abuse, effective coping skills and making safe choices. This program taught my family to communicate effectively and create a tighter bond. Heather and Michelle (lead both the group and family sessions) were GREAT, attentive and very genuine about helping our family. They helped us create a family plan that was custom to the issues that we were having. My only regret is that we didn't find the program sooner. Since we graduated from the program things have gotten so much better. I would HIGHLY recommend if your struggling with a teen. There is light at the end of the tunnel! My teens review is as follows "CODI is literally the only program that made me pull my head out of my a**, and stop fighting with you guys (parents)."

Several years ago, we sought family counseling in a group setting through this outfit; meetings would begin with a dinner put on by CoDi, served buffet-style, families all sitting together. After eating, the kids would work in their own groups while the adults worked in theirs - then later we would all be reunited to work together. After a traumatic event, my children were finding peace in this routine. We had a number of challenges in our family that had precluded us from being able attend the weekly meetings on occasion (work schedules). Our last night there, our 6 year old child was making her plate and our 3 and 9 year old were in line behind her, plates in hand, when we were asked to leave. We had missed 2 classes back to back and were told we have to start over in a new session of classes. Ok. But you couldn't have called us? You had to embarrass us? We were drummed out of the building and made a spectacle of. And try as I might, so many years later, I cannot forget the look on my 6 year old's face; it broke my heart then, and it breaks my heart now. She cried all the way home; she thought it was HER fault we had to leave. We never went back. Emma was the staff member that told us to leave; she literally took the plate of food from my child's hands and threw it in the trash in front of her. What kind of people DO THIS TO A LITTLE GIRL? My blood still boils at the memory of how we were treated, my then-kindergartener especially. NO organization that treats a family the way ours was treated - humiliated comes to mind - is really about "strengthening families". WHAT A CROCK.

I have to say that out of all the places I've been seen for my eye exams, this place takes the cake in all aspects. 1. Seamless appointments: from making the appointment, the checking in process, the exam itself, and checking out. Completely seamless. I've never had any issues with the admin/billing or clinical staff. 2. Extremely friendly and thorough Doctor: I see the female doctor (feel terrible for not remembering her name) here and she has to be one of the kindest people I've ever encountered. I had to bring my two young daughters to a recent appointment and she was extremely kind and accommodating. Even without my children at previous appointments she was very thorough and kind. I never once felt rushed or overlooked. 3. Reliability: I have had to contact their office on a couple occasions to have my prescriptions sent over for contact lenses and they were very prompt and fast with the request. I've had terrible experiences places where they say they will do it and then just don't. This place checks off all the boxes for me. I am happy to have went out on a whim and scheduled with them years ago because I truly adore this place and will not go anywhere else now!

So for me, finding a good dentist means finding one that doesn't make you feel like you have a "dental" appointment. That's been my experience with Pioneer Peak. I use to worry about having anything done to my teeth because I never knew if the procedure would be painful or not... always seemed to be hit and miss in the past if the dentist would leave me with a mouth full of pain afterwards. After having everything dental from cleaning to a rather large tooth extraction by Dr Paden over the years, I can honestly say I've never come away in pain or dissatisfied with the results. Finally; my teeth are very sensitive and in the past I've had poor luck finding a dentist that knows how to properly numb the area fully, until I started coming here. Dr Paden numbs the area in such a way I've honestly never felt a needle. I'm always numb enough that I feel absolutely comfortable with having my teeth worked on. If I happen to feel any discomfort I just let them know and they are willing to apply more if needed. They take health insurance and file all the paperwork for me which I really like as it makes it easy to deal with the paperwork. If you call and ask, I'm sure they have other accommodations for people without insurance - the staff is always good about answering questions!
