3.5 stars. My husband and I came across this restaurant and the menu had our mouth watering so we decided to give it a go.
Service was excellent - we had a lovely waiter who was attentive and friendly and knew the menu well. We excitedly ordered the burrata and giant meatball to share.
The burrata came first and I had been raving about burrata in general after having it at a couple of Work Christmas parties so I was super excited to share the deliciousness with my husband. Unfortunately, it was just ... meh. The two pieces of focaccia it came with were stale (definitely stale and not just toasted) and the accompaniment to the burrata just didn't match - the flavours just didn't work and it was bland - we didn't even finish it. Next up was the giant meatball. First impressions - not so giant. I'd rate it as a slightly above average size meatball, maybe the size of a pool ball. There was about ten pieces of gnocchi served with it which were only okay and while the sauce was hearty and rich there was just too much of it and not enough meatball. The "giant" meatball dish was also $28. It was an okay meal but I don't think we will be returning. read more
