The young man who helped me was knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the available flavors. I decided to try the lemon cookie gelato and also brought home a pint of the caramel sea salt. While the gelatos are undeniably rich and creamy, I found that the flavors didn't quite meet my expectations. For the lemon cookie gelato, the lemon flavor primarily came from the cookies themselves that were sprinkled on top,and I felt there could have been more lemon zest incorporated for added freshness. As for the caramel sea salt, I didn't get the expected caramel taste, and the hint of saltiness that typically enhances salty caramel was also missing. Overall, I appreciate the effort, but I believe there's room for improvement in achieving the flavor profiles they promote.

I follow her on facebook and saw her announce a special Easter flavor: peanut butter cremino. I was already drawn in with how rich the pb gelato looked in the photos, but her description sealed the deal. The dark chocolate ganache is imported from Italy. I served the pb cremino and lemon cookie for Easter dinner dessert and everyone enjoyed them both. Half of my guests preferred the lemon and the other half chose the peanut butter. My 2-year-old was obsessed with the pb and had three servings! The pb gelato was incredibly rich and had a strong, delicious peanut flavor. The Italian ganache on top turned into a decadent fudge consistency after we set it out for about an hour before serving. The lemon cookie left no doubt that it was made with fresh REAL lemon juice. It was bright and sweet and perfectly balanced. I cannot wait to come try more flavors when the shop is officially open for the season. Kim was hard at work in the shop, but was gracious and set up times to come pick up orders. She was very friendly and has an obvious passion (and talent) for gelato. My husband agreed the flavor was better and the consistency more pleasing than what we had in Italy.

Dari-Treets is pretty small with just a single walk-up counter. Above the counter they have their menu where they offer ice-cream, milkshakes and other concoctions. Both times I came, ordered a cup of chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. My ice cream was made quickly while also being pretty large and looking visually attractive. However, the best part was yet to come. The ice-cream itself was amazing! It was creamy and full of flavor. It was topped off by the sprinkles, which added some more flavor. While my ice-cream was made fast, the staff here was not the most friendly. Dari-Treets does not have any indoor or outdoor seating so you have to eat either standing up or in your car. However, Dari-Treets is connected to Paesano's a casual Italian restaurant is you may be able to sit there. Altogether, this is a great stop for a delicious ice cream!

I was so excited to get this ice cream in Pennsylvania. My mouth started watering as if someone took a delicious peach pumpkin pie and set it right in front of my face--where I could smell all the peachy pumpkin and the crust, and feel the oozing heat coming right off of it. So that's the reason why I decided to get peach ice cream. Well, anyway, I ate two bites of this ice cream, and I suddenly got a headache. Now, this was no normal headache. I can definitely tell this was from the food now because this has happened to me a few times before. I know 100% it's the food. I don't recommend this ice cream based on the flavor, the feel, and of course, the headache that it gave me like a nagging wife--that's why I don't have one--or a husband who doesn't do anything, just complains all day, and watches football on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
