Excellent service from Drake. Not only is he an excellent barber, he is also super nice. I was very happy with my service. I was a walk-in and only had to wait about 3 minutes. The place was very clean and well-lit. Lots of activity but not loud, or overwhelming at all. Definitely recommend this barbershop and definitely recommend Drake. read more

Great amazing cuts always with two awesome brothers who are always personable. It's like getting into a club that you have vip access even if you didn't pay the fee. Very professional and avid listeners to give you the haircut you have always dreamed of. read more

I walked into this shop as a walk in and asked for a shapeup/lineup. They gave me a barber that had to be new because it took 30-35 mins just for a simple shape up. She had extremely shaky hands and I knew this wasn't gonna go well. Another barber had to come help to make sure my tape was straight but not much he do on the edges because she cut to far in and now my forehead looks funny. I asked her what is this and she said "do you want me to get somebody me to fix it." Overall experience was not good. If I ever come back it won't be back to her. It's extremely unacceptable to have someone call themselves a barber and mess up someone's head. Just imagine if I asked for a full cut like a fade, she would have taken easily an hour and screw up something else. I'm not gonna put her name on here but I hope she sees this and gets it together. Very upset, and I wish I didn't even have to pay for her mistake! read more

10/10 would never go back. Felt like I was getting my hair cut by a high school friend in his backyard. Barber actually suggested I do not cut the top of my hair after he spent 20 minutes with the clippers on the same spot. Fade: crap Haircut: crap I went home and contemplated shaving my head due to how awful this cut was. read more

Not the best "Walk in Barbershop" if you don't have an appointment you'll be waiting about 1-2 hours for a cut, seems as if only one barber handles walk ins which makes no sense. Had to leave as I got tired of Waiting read more

I recently moved to Florida and have been looking for a good barber. This place is a hidden gem! Refreshingly young and talented group of barbers with a great vibe. I was a walk-in and barely waited. I went to Henry and he did my hair exactly how I asked. Great fade, even got a shave and eyebrows too. Would definitely recommend to all and I will be going back!! read more

Jake hooked me up today. Did exactly what I asked him to. Very happy with my cut and beard trim.

World's laziest barber shop bunch. Of lady idiots goofing off talking and working slow and taking people who walked in after me. Do not waste your time here. read more

You'd think a barbershop who has someone coming in after a bad cut would want to convert a customer for repeat business. Not this place. They did fix up the awful fade someone else gave me but also seemed to feel that was appropriate to charge full price for a cut that was prob 5-10 minutes of light clipper work. Anyway, no credit card payments and no change for cash without wandering the nearby shops make this a barely 3 star experience. You can probably do better. read more

I was tired of getting poor haircuts at other "chain" establishments. So, feeling like it couldn't get any worse, I jumped into Modern Man on a whim. I was very happy. This establishment takes appointments and walk-in customers. It appears the place caters more to men (hence the store's name). The place is nicely decorated and furnished. The styilists are very friendly and accommodating and easy-going. I felt very comfortable. I was seated right away and was serviced by a hair designer named Hunter. This guy was fantastic. My hair is not easy to manage and/or cut (its stick-straight). But this guy (Hunter) had no problem with providing a great cut. I told him what I wanted and he achieved it with meticulous attention to detail. Don't expect a quick cut with Hunter-- or any of the other stylists in this shop. I noticed another customer in the chair next to me--- his stylist was just as focused as mine. I'm extremely picky about my hair and the cuts I get. When I was younger, I went to the same stylist for 26 years. Then, I moved to Florida and have been struggling to find somebody to give me a good cut. I think I found him with Hunter, at Modern Man. The price was extremely reasonable and the atmosphere of the shop is very comfortable. I saw children coming in with their fathers, too. I'm definitely going back to this place. It's hip and they give a good cut at a nice price. Try it out. read more

Idk bout the other barbers but this dude Mike don't give af. He's not bad at cutting hair just needs to be a little bit more respectful to his customers. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. My boyfriend has been growing his hair for over 4 months and wanted someone to make it shorter on the sides but leave it longer on top. I did research and read reviews. On Modern man website they literally had the exact hair he wanted on a man that had similar head shape and hair. So, I made appointment. They destroyed his hair. DESTROYED his hair. He had to shave his whole head. STAY AWAY! read more

Just moved to the area and didn't want to go all the way to ftl for my usual guys. The place is nice, sleek and clean look inside. Edwin and Louis were there, and taking walk ins. Truthfully I suck at getting cuts, I never remember what to say and just wing and hope for the best. Edwin asked what I wanted. Me: it's too damn long, shorten it up, I think (begins to mumble) 4. And the top so it doesn't curl" 45 minutes later I'm out of there, head doesn't look like a dick after I shower and the girlfriend likes it too, which is most important. And they take credit card. Go there, they'll take care of you, and tip them read more

The half haircut was ok i guess, however i didnt appreciate the profanity and all the gay jokes. My little brother is a proud homosexual and we had to leave mid haircut because they did not care about anyones feelings besides themselves. Continuously made jokes over and over. Wont be coming back anytime soon. The barber also had a strong odor of marijuana which is unacceptable. read more

This shop is legit. I go to Jazzy but it seems like every barber can cut. I never had a female cut my hair before but now I wont go to anyone else. Shop is nice too with a pool table and really clean inside. Def check them out for a good cut in Boynton read more

I came in with my 2 yr old and my 4 yr old so we could all get haircuts. Although my 2 yr old cried the whole time, the barber was patient, took his time and produced a high quality haircut. All three of us had different barbers and all got really good looking haircuts. I can cut hair/fade and do all of out haircuts myself at home normally. Since we were on vacation here, I took a chance on Modern Man Barbershop. The price was very reasonable, they were able to accept credit card (which is rare) and when I brought my boys back home, mom was really happy with how everyone looked. Great service, high level barbers and a clean and modern setup. 5 stars! read more

Had a great experience, extremely happy with the cut I received. Edwin was great. I would definitely go back.

Ok..maybe the best solid haircut and customer service you will find. Hunter cut my old man hair and made it look better than it should :) Next time I am going for a shave and cut..! read more

New to the city took very good care of my family. Could not be more happy. Very sweet staff i felt very welcome. Deff will recommend.

Any reviews saying this is like an old fashioned barber shop are way off the mark! It's much more for young men. Seems to be more for newer specialty cuts than traditional. The barbers on a Tuesday were all younger. They played some rap video when I was there, not that it bothered me. All into the special young men's greetings and handshakes. If that's what you want...great. It's friendly enough. My barber spent an hour on me! read more

Luis is the best barber Ive had in my life and I have lived up and down the east coast. It sucks that I live 4 hours away from him now but anytime I'm in south Florida I make sure i stop at Modern Man... Even if Luis is not there I can trust that anybody who works there will hook it up because theres nothing but top notch barbers who work there! read more

From out of town and needed a cut and beard trim. Did excellent job. Maybe I can make it back before I leave town .

I had a pretty bad experience here. I showed up as a walk in and things actually looked a bit promising to start. I was sat pretty quickly upon arriving, I was greeted nicely and when I sat down I gave the barber whose name was "tux" a detailed description of what I wanted done with my hair, along with two pictures of my previous haircuts done the way I wanted them. He looked understanding of the things I said and proceeded with my haircut. I was long overdue for a cut, so the beginning bulk was just removing a lot of excess hair, however once it came to detailing he started asking me questions about what I wanted done with my hair that diverted from what I'd asked him to do with it originally. Once it came down to the point where he wanted to know if I wanted it any shorter, I told him he could go about a half an inch more off the very top but no more off the side. He proceeded to chop up the entire top of my hair, including the side and made it way more than half an inch shorter and also made it way shorter than it was in the pictures I asked him to compare to. He made my hair look like I had a toupee on. I asked him to just razor up my edges and finish the cut and he did so. I wasn't very happy with the tape job he did and he unconfidently told me I should "keep my front line natural" seemingly because he didn't want to do the tape even though I've gotten my tape done every time I've gotten my haircut without any hassle from the barber. He seemed apologetic after all was said and done but you can't take back a bad haircut, and really all he had to say was "I mean, it doesn't look bad." But the point is it wasn't even close to what I asked for and if I'd known that was what I was going to be walking out with, I would've never walked in. Thankfully my hair grows fast so this shouldn't be an issue for long, however I feel I paid $25 for a mediocre at best haircut. I was very unhappy with the results and I won't be giving my business to this barber shop again. read more
