He was transported to the hospital multiple times and his blood sugars were near 400!!!!! There were 2 residents with the same name, my dad had just had surgery on his his and could walk fine but they wanted him to stay seated in his wheelchair constantly. They referred to him as "Wheelchair W@**e" and the other resident that walked around on a loop as "Wheelchair W@**e" That's what you're going to get here. And Donna... She's had feces running out and all over her and sat for hours on 4 different days in filth!!!! One of the techs put a urine bag on her and that caused the bag to fall off!it was the wrong kind of bag!!! I came walking in and they didn't know who I was....but the techs and nurses were arguing about who was not going to change and clean her...this is the worst medical experience ever !!! Taken by ambulance--I was there for over 7 hours with head injuries and in pain, needing staples, and I told them I believed I had been drugged and possibly sexually assaulted. They said they don't do that kind of testing and I'd have to be transferred to Centennial. After so many hours, I just wanted to go home. I didn't even see Dr. Bahner until 10 minutes before I was discharged--he barely spoke to me and had no bedside manner. He joked with the nurses instead of addressing my situation. I was discharged still covered in blood, with no instructions and no compassion. To make matters worse, they labeled me as intoxicated and even recommended AA in my paperwork, which was insulting and inappropriate. I had to look up my own aftercare, like when to wash my hair or remove the staples. This experience left me deeply traumatized. I wouldn't recommend Summit to anyone--especially not to victims of sexual or physical assault. They failed me when I needed help most. Later, I found out Summit gave me incorrect info--Centennial doesn't do rape kits. I went to Vanderbilt, where I finally received proper care. Summit ER has since been reported by several organizations for their unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. I sincerely hope it leads to change. Victims deserve better.‍‍
