This is one of the rare times the Yelp reviews don't live up to my expectations. I'm giving 4 stars…read morebecause the staff was so friendly and kind, and I don't want to trash a small business. This is a no-frills, smaller restaurant inside a strip of stores in a questionable-looking area of town. As I parked the car, I thought twice about actually going in, but based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was clean inside, and, as I mentioned, the service and staff were 5-star! My food was where it went wrong for me. I started with the summer rolls (the ones in rice paper); they serve sushi and Thai food here. I have been craving summer rolls; I love the freshness of the mint and herbs, combined with crunchy peanuts and peanut sauce. However, that fell short for me here. The peanut sauce was reddish and tasted more like ketchup, so that was a letdown. No little peanuts anywhere in the sauce or on the plate. It was jam-packed with iceberg lettuce, which you would typically put on a Taco, so it wasn't very fresh-tasting, and it contained the tiniest piece of shrimp I've ever seen inside. Following my gut, I decided not to order my usual sushi selection, which is always raw, unfried, and unsauced. However, I decided to play it safe, so I opted for a Mexican roll instead. I asked for no eel sauce, but I should have also specified that I wanted spicy mayo on the side. It covered my roll, and I had to use a napkin to remove what I could. This is usually a roll that is around $6 to $10, but for some reason, they were charging $14. They made the rolls bigger, but not by filling them with more shrimp, avocado, etc.; instead, they added more rice. This may be someone's cup of tea, but it wasn't mine, and I won't be back, but wish them the best!

The sushi is so fresh here. Service is nice and efficient. It's a small place with a few tables and no waiting area, but don't let a wait deter you. And, if you have any room in your tummy after dinner, definitely order the mango sticky rice for dessert. I say I will try some of the hot dishes here, but the sushi always wins.

And to those people, I ask, "Have you ever been to Antioch?" No, this place isn't scary or in a rough neighborhood. It's definitely not Brentwood, but it's safe to say you can leave your pitchforks and torches at home. It is, for lack of better words, located in a hole in the wall of a micro-tiny strip mall, next to a sports bar. Inside, it is sweet and cozy. In this cozy place, you will find the friendliest of staff members. To have an entire staff give their customers the utmost respect is one of the most challenging tasks of any business owner. So the fact that this owner was able to achieve such a difficult task is something to applaud. There is no board with an entire menu, but there are small pamphlets off to the side with the menu. I ordered the pepperoni pizza along with the meatballs as an appetizer. My friend and I sat outside, where they have outdoor seating and tables. That, I have to say, is the only downside to this place. The seating. No indoor seating, and with how ever-changing Middle Tennessee's weather is, you might have to drive it home or eat it in the car. But with humidity changing texture in a box or to-go box, it might take the freshness away from the experience. After the food was brought out to us, which is a plus and highly appreciated, we were ready to eat. I did have to run inside to grab some packets of crushed red pepper. You must ask for it, which, without hesitation, the man minding the wood stove gladly grabbed for me. Separating a slice of pizza from the others was a sight to see. What you typically want to see separating pizza. The ooey gooey cheese in entanglement. I took a bite and fell in love with the freshness. Every ingredient is fresh, and you don't feel that awful sloth feeling that a Pizza Hut pizza would leave you with. The pepperoni was to die for. Although the meatballs had a flavor that I wasn't too happy with, I knew they were good, even if my flavor profile didn't desire it much. The meatballs were incredibly soft, and the sauce they bathed in, with a sprinkle of ricotta cheese, was divine. My friend happily downed the entire box they sat in. This now will forever be one of my go-to pizza places. And yes, it's worth it to eat in your car, if need be.

It was definitely worth the wait and I will be going back again an again. Our waitress was Dane and she was very friendly and had a contagious smile. That alone made me and my guest feel welcome. I went with the traditional breakfast with French toast and added the new raspberry coffee- simply supreme. Seeing the kitchen staff working with smiles was also a delight and hearing them say Eggs Up brought back fond memories of watching the old tv show Alice. By far one of the best things was seeing a little boy come in and go straight to the counter and say Hi dad with a wave. Turns out it was possibly the head cook, who came out and gave his son a kiss. Then walked to the tables and asked how everything was- impressive! Restroom was clean. They take cash and cards. It also has outdoor seating. If you have not been there- treat yourself and go. If you have been there-go again and find your new favorite.

There were no other patrons in the restaurant, however they had quite a few online orders they were fulfilling. Our food came to the table and the potatoes were hard as rock! Inedible!! I walked both plates to the server and explained the issue. He offered to remake the meals. A few minutes later, he came back out and stated "these look much better". They did LOOK better, one bite and we were ready to go! The potatoes were barely room temperature! The issue with this restaurant is they you never know what you're going to get. The service is decent but the food is very inconsistent. Some 35 minutes wasted, no meal, hungry and now have to find somewhere else to find breakfast. We unfortunately paid for a meal that we did NOT eat. To pay over $30 for something we didn't eat is ridiculous! Not sure how to resolve this. Maybe the standards need to be more strict or folks need to follow the recipe. Very upset with the wasted money and time today.
