I had an extremely traumatic experience at Summit ER with Dr. Roderick Bahner and the nursing…read morestaff. Taken by ambulance--I was there for over 7 hours with head injuries and in pain, needing staples, and I told them I believed I had been drugged and possibly sexually assaulted. They said they don't do that kind of testing and I'd have to be transferred to Centennial. After so many hours, I just wanted to go home. I didn't even see Dr. Bahner until 10 minutes before I was discharged--he barely spoke to me and had no bedside manner. He joked with the nurses instead of addressing my situation. I was discharged still covered in blood, with no instructions and no compassion. To make matters worse, they labeled me as intoxicated and even recommended AA in my paperwork, which was insulting and inappropriate. I had to look up my own aftercare, like when to wash my hair or remove the staples. This experience left me deeply traumatized. I wouldn't recommend Summit to anyone--especially not to victims of sexual or physical assault. They failed me when I needed help most. Later, I found out Summit gave me incorrect info--Centennial doesn't do rape kits. I went to Vanderbilt, where I finally received proper care. Summit ER has since been reported by several organizations for their unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. I sincerely hope it leads to change. Victims deserve better.‍‍

LOL He helps me see a different perspective and I don't just mean another person's perspective..... It's more clinical than that. He educates me on things I speak about & helps me correlate things I wouldn't have otherwise. He explains things I do or how I think/act and makes me feel better about myself. He helps me understand myself in ways I can't alone. As he helps me understand my mind and how it works, it makes it much more useful!! When you know how to use a tool.....you can do SO MUCH MORE with it!! He's helped me to see ahead and see things coming instead of just being impulsive and having major regrets later. All the owner wants to do is help people get back on track and live a happy life without drugs and alcohol. the house is not the nicest or cleanest, but you have to keep in mind you are living with 12 guys who are mostly in the early stages of recovery. i didnt have a car when i lived here and sometimes had to take the bus. it is about a half mile down the road from a Murfreesboro bus stop which was a big help at times. attending meetings are required in order to stay at this house. i belive it was 5 meetings a week, some people with cars at the house helped me get there. this place will teach you structure and the little things that make a big difference in life. all in all, i recommend gratis living to a person in early recovery, i am not the type to write reviews online, but i feel like this may help somebody as it did for me. Literally. Except there was a neon sign that seemed more appropriate as a photo op for Instagram than a therapist office. My therapist left and I went with her. I then began getting bills stating different amounts that I owed for sessions. I saw the same person every time I went. I know when someone becomes licensed that their rate goes up however it would not fluctuate between several different amounts. I brought this to their attention but there was no explanation provided. I left a similar review on Google that has since been removed so I would be weary of trusting their Google reviews. I just do not feel they are really concerned about what is best for the patient.
